Call or Text (352) 722-5295Suspension components on the 2015-2016 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke
Ford kept the parts list short. On a 4x4, the solid front axle rides on coil springs and is located by radius arms and a track bar, with 1.38-inch gas shocks and a standard front stabilizer bar. In back, leaf springs carry a solid axle with 1.38-inch gas shocks, and the rear stabilizer bar is standard on dual-rear-wheel trucks and optional on single-rear-wheel trucks. FX4 trucks left the factory on Rancho shocks. This page has replacements and upgrades for the shocks, front coil springs, track bar and rear sway bar links, along with load-support and axle-control parts that go past the factory setup on the 6.7L Powerstroke Super Dutys.
Where the wear shows up
The track bar locates the front axle side to side, so it is the first component to look at on a 4x4. One 2016 F-250 owner reported 'death wobble' to NHTSA, a violent shake at highway speed after a bump. It is a single complaint, but it matches the ball joint, track bar, tie rod and steering damper wear the aftermarket targets on 2005-2016 coil-sprung Super Dutys. That is why this page carries track bar bushing kits, a replacement track bar bracket and an adjustable track bar.
Stock replacement vs. upgrade
On a stock-height truck the job is like-for-like: a shock that suits the factory ride height and fresh bushings in the track bar. On a leveled or lifted truck, pick shocks for the new ride height and consider an adjustable track bar so the axle can be re-centered. Trucks that tow or carry a camper can add Air Lift helper springs at the rear axle; Ford's Camper Package put auxiliary rear springs on the F-250 for the same reason. Traction bars tie the rear axle to the frame to control axle wrap on the leaf springs under the 6.7L's 860 lb-ft.

Fitment notes
4x2 and 4x4 front ends share nothing, and shocks are listed by front or rear and by 2WD or 4WD, so match both. SRW and DRW trucks take different air spring kits. Leveling geometry is shared back to 2005, but shocks and some steering parts are more year-specific, and the 2017-and-later aluminum trucks are a different fitment. The 2015 F-450 pickup got its own rear leaf springs, stabilizer bars and shocks, so confirm F-450 fitment on every listing. Verify by VIN.
Frequently asked questions
Should I replace the whole track bar or just the bushings?
If the bar is straight and the mounts are solid, a bushing kit from BD Diesel or SPE Motorsport puts it back in service, and SPE sells a version with the removal tool. If the truck is leveled or lifted, an adjustable bar like the BD Diesel unit lets you re-center the axle. The BD Diesel track bar bracket covers the mount if that is where the problem is.
Do I have to buy a compressor with Air Lift helper springs?
No. The helper spring kits and the compressor systems are sold separately, so you can start with LoadLifter springs and add a WirelessONE or WirelessAIR compressor later. Load controllers and a replacement on-board compressor are here too if you are servicing a system you already run.
Will these components fit a 2017 or newer Super Duty?
Not by default. 2017 brought an all-new aluminum-body Super Duty on a new frame, and suspension fitment splits there. A few parts here do span the change, like the WCFab 68-inch traction bar kit listed for 2011-2024 6.7L trucks, so read the year range on each listing.
Do FX4 trucks need different shocks?
FX4 is a 4x4 package that came with Rancho shocks from the factory. When you replace them, shop the 4WD front and rear listings for your model, and pick the ride height the truck actually sits at today.
