The rear stabilizer bar on the 2015-2016 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

Ford put a front stabilizer bar on every one of these trucks. The rear bar was standard on dual-rear-wheel trucks and optional in a package on single-rear-wheel trucks; the Camper Package was one way to get it on an SRW truck, along with a front spring upgrade. The 2015 F-450 pickup also got new front and rear stabilizer bars as part of its chassis update. So a single-rear-wheel F-250 or F-350 with the 6.7L Powerstroke may or may not have a rear bar, and the only way to know for sure is to look.

Why a lift calls for new links

The rear bar connects to the truck through end links. Lifting the truck changes the distance those links have to span, so BDS builds this link kit for 4-inch lifts on 4WD Super Dutys. It lets the rear bar stay connected and working at the new height instead of being left off.

What we carry

The BDS Suspension rear sway bar link kit for 4-inch lifts, listed for 2000-2016 Super Duty 4WD trucks from the 7.3L through the 6.7L. If you are still shopping for the lift itself, BDS 4-inch kits for 2011-2016 6.7L 4WD trucks are in our lift kit collection.

Fitment notes

This kit is listed for 4WD trucks only. It is sized for a 4-inch lift, so a truck that is only leveled at the front does not call for it. The 2017-and-later aluminum trucks are a different fitment. Verify by VIN.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if my truck has a rear sway bar?

If it is a dually, it does; the rear bar was standard on DRW trucks. On a single-rear-wheel truck it was optional, including through the Camper Package, so look at the rear axle for a bar running across it with links up to the frame.

Do I need this kit if I only leveled the front?

No. A leveling kit raises the front, and these links sit at the rear. This kit is built for trucks running a 4-inch lift.

Will this fit a 4x2 truck?

The kit is listed for 4WD trucks only. Call us with your VIN if you have a lifted 4x2 and we will see what applies.
