Ford has used a steel oil pan with a conventional drain plug on the 6.7L since 2012. Service parts on this page split into upper-pan and lower-pan work: there are gasket sets for each, a Dorman replacement lower pan, and aftermarket replacement pans. The upper-pan gaskets from SPE Motorsport and MAHLE are catalogued for 2015-2019, while the lower-pan parts cover a wider span of 6.7L years. When the pan comes off, plan on 13.0 quarts of fresh oil and a new filter.
Stock replacement vs. upgrade
If the factory pan is damaged or seeping at the gasket, the direct fix is a Dorman 264-452 lower pan or a MAHLE OS32438 lower pan gasket, with an XDP XD622 bolt kit if the old hardware is tired. If you would rather move off the factory steel pan, the options here are the PPE heavy-duty cast aluminum pan, the No Limit Fabrication billet pan, the AFE Pro Series pan and the Mag-Hytec 6.7L pan. Drain plugs are the small upgrade: SPE makes a billet stainless plug and a magnetic plug.

SPE Motorsport supplies the S100467 upper oil pan gasket, the S100123 billet stainless steel drain plug and the S100377 magnetic drain plug. MAHLE has the OS32438 lower pan gasket and the OS32478 upper pan gasket set. Dorman makes the 264-452 lower pan. For aftermarket pans, look at the PPE 314052100 cast aluminum pan, the No Limit Fabrication 67OP billet pan, the AFE 46-70322 Pro Series pan and the Mag-Hytec F6.7L pan. Fitment notes
Read the year range on each listing. The upper pan gaskets are 2015-2019 parts, and the SPE drain plugs start at 2012, the year Ford went to the conventional plug. The ATS drain plug is made for ATS pans and differential covers, so it is for trucks already running ATS hardware, not the factory pan. When in doubt, verify by VIN or call the shop.
Frequently asked questions
Which pan gasket do I need, upper or lower?
It depends on which section is leaking or coming off. The MAHLE OS32438 is the lower pan gasket, while the SPE S100467 and MAHLE OS32478 are upper pan gaskets catalogued for 2015-2019 trucks. If you can't tell where a leak starts, have it looked at before you order; we do this work in our Wildwood, FL bays.
What is the difference between the SPE drain plugs?
The S100123 is a billet stainless steel plug, and the S100377 is magnetic, so it holds ferrous particles where you can see them at the next oil change. Both are catalogued for 6.7L trucks from 2012 on.
