Call or Text (352) 722-5295Intake accessories for the 2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke
The 6.7L Powerstroke moves its charge air from the valley-mounted turbo through a hot-side pipe, an air-to-water intercooler and a cold-side pipe into the throttle valve and intake plenums. Every joint along that path is a boot, coupler, O-ring or gasket. The truck keeps track of that air with a mass air flow sensor, a manifold absolute pressure sensor, an ambient air temperature sensor and an intake air/charge air cooler temperature sensor. This collection is the hardware for those joints and sensors, plus the filter care parts and emergency air shutdowns that mount on the intake.
What fails and why
Boots, couplers and the intercooler seal are the usual leak points on this engine. A leak there costs power, raises exhaust temperatures and often sets no code. You hear a hiss under load, find oily residue at the bad joint, and confirm it with a smoke test. The oil comes from CCV mist, which collects in the charge pipes and intercooler over the 30,000 to 50,000 miles between CCV services, and pooled oil at a joint marks the leak. When the plastic factory cold-side pipe splits under boost, look hard at the couplers and clamps at each end before you reuse them.
Stock replacement vs. upgrade
Sensors and gaskets are like-for-like jobs. Alliant Power and XDP sell replacement MAF, MAP, ambient air temperature and IAT/CACT sensors listed by year range for the 6.7L, and MAHLE and SPE Motorsport sell intake manifold gaskets for any time the plenums come off. Couplers, clamps and sensor mounting are where owners upgrade. Silicone boots with T-bolt clamp sets and a MAP sensor relocation kit are the most common intake accessories on this engine. If you run an oiled cotton filter, the S&B Precision II kit is what you use to clean and re-oil it.
What we carry
Alliant Power sensors include the AP63524 MAF, AP63543 MAP, AP63544 IAT/CACT and the AP63493 and AP63545 ambient air temperature sensors. XDP adds the XD1055 MAF, the XD1016 MAP sensor and the XD459 intercooler adapter O-ring seal. MAP sensor spacers and relocators come from S&B (82-1004), PPE (315672020) and SPE Motorsport (S100320). SPE also makes billet intake flanges, MAP and IAT sensor bungs, the S100118 compressor outlet adapter and S100314 intake manifold gaskets. MAHLE covers the MS19881 intake manifold gasket set and the G32584 throttle body mounting gasket. S&B rounds out the filter side with a 4-inch silicone coupler with clamps, WF-1062 and WF-1031 filter wraps and the Precision II red cleaning and oil kit, and Banks Power has a pre-filter wrap for its Ram-Air filters. BD Diesel supplies positive air shutdown valves, the E-PAS emergency engine shutdown and high-torque hose clamps. For the rest of the platform, see our Powerstroke parts.
Fitment notes
Most parts here are listed for 2011-2016 or 2011-2019 trucks, so read the year range on each one. Some intake parts split at 2015, when the twin-inlet GT32 turbo gave way to the GT37. F-350, F-450 and F-550 chassis cabs run a different turbo than the pickups, so confirm chassis cab fitment on anything that touches the turbo side. BD's positive air shutdowns come in 3-inch and 3.5-inch versions and a 2011-2014 Powerstroke-specific unit, so match the one you buy to your intake tube. If you are unsure, verify by VIN.
Frequently asked questions
Which MAP sensor relocation kit fits a 2011-2014 6.7L Powerstroke?
The S&B 82-1004 spacer kit, the PPE 315672020 relocation spacer and the SPE Motorsport S100320 spacer/relocator are all listed for 2011-2019 6.7L trucks. A MAP sensor relocation kit is one of the most common intake accessories on this engine. Pick by brand preference or to match other parts already on the truck.
How do I find a boost leak at a boot or coupler?
Listen for a hiss under load and look for oily residue at each joint, since that residue marks the leak. A smoke test confirms it. These leaks cost power and raise exhaust temperatures without setting a code, so a truck that feels flat with a clean scan is worth checking.
What is a positive air shutdown?
It is a valve in the intake tract that closes off the engine's air supply so the engine can be stopped in an emergency. BD Diesel offers several sizes here, plus the E-PAS emergency engine shutdown listed for 2011-2019 Powerstroke trucks. We install what we sell, so we can fit one for you.
Do the replacement sensors here fit 2011-2014 trucks?
Yes, they are listed for this range. The MAF sensors are listed for 2011-2016, the MAP and IAT/CACT sensors for 2011-2019, and Alliant's AP63493 ambient air temperature sensor covers 2004.5-2014 6.0L, 6.4L and 6.7L trucks. Check the product page against your truck before ordering.
