The S&B Filters 82-1004 MAP Sensor Spacer Kit will help extend the service intervals and replacement of the MAP sensor in your 2011-2019 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke. The Ford Powerstroke's factory MAP sensor layout leads to a lot of soot buildup on the sensor over time. This buildup of soot requires constant cleaning to keep your engine running properly. The MAP Sensor Spacer relocated the sensor so it significantly decreases the amount of soot buildup once it is installed.
The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) and PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) systems within your engine play an important role in managing combustion temperature, reducing NOx emissions, and ensuring that harmful gasses are not released into the atmosphere. These systems draw in unburnt exhaust gasses and oil vapor into the combustion chambers, leading to lower combustion temperatures and reduced NOx production.
