This kit is not tied to a vehicle. S&B makes it for S&B cleanable air filters, which covers the cleanable filter on an S&B cold air intake and S&B's KF-series replacement filters in cleanable media, whether the truck is a Powerstroke, Cummins, Duramax or 3.0L EcoDiesel. S&B also sells dry media filters, and this oil kit is meant for the cleanable ones, so check which media your filter uses before you order. Not sure? A cleanable filter is meant to be cleaned and re-oiled rather than thrown away, and this kit has what that job takes. The S&B Filter Cleaner breaks down debris and penetrates deep into the filter so it comes out as clean as possible. The red filter oil goes back on with S&B's re-engineered oil applicator, which is designed to keep you from over-oiling or under-oiling the filter. Everything is sized to service your filter about three times, and it all stays together in a reusable box between services.

Installation notes

With the filter off the intake, start by thoroughly cleaning the outside of the filter with a rag. Then apply the S&B Filter Cleaner from the kit and let it work into the media to break down the debris.

Let the filter sit and dry for 24 hours. Do not rush this step; the filter needs that full drying time before it is ready to be re-oiled.

Once it is dry, re-oil it with the red oil using the included applicator, which is designed to keep you from over-oiling or under-oiling. Then put the filter back on the intake. Store the leftover cleaner, oil and applicator in the reusable box for the next service.
