The intake on this engine is a short, sealed run. Air leaves the driver-side airbox, picks up the CCV hose at the compressor inlet, gets boosted by the turbo in the engine valley, cools in the air-to-water charge air cooler, and goes through the cold-side pipe into the intake manifold. Every joint along that path is a coupler, a clamp, an adapter or a gasket, and three sensors keep watch: a mass air flow (MAF) sensor on the incoming air, a manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor, and an intake air/charge air cooler temperature (IAT/CACT) sensor. This collection is those small parts, plus filter care and emergency shutdown hardware. The full engine lineup lives on our Powerstroke hub.
What fails and why
The documented trouble spots on this intake are the factory plastic cold-side pipe, an internal coolant leak in the charge air cooler, and oil from the CCV system. The pipe and the cooler have their own collection. The oil problem is the one that lands here. When the CCV separator on the driver-side valve cover is overdue, oil mist coats the intake tract and the cooler, and you will find it on the couplers, sensors and gaskets you pull. The CCV is a service item every 30,000 to 40,000 miles. If you are replacing a MAP or IAT sensor or resealing the intake manifold on an oily engine, put the CCV on the same work order so the new parts stay clean.
Stock replacement vs. upgrade
For a repair, replace like with like. Replacement sensors from Alliant Power and XDP cover the MAF, MAP and IAT/CACT positions, and MAHLE gaskets reseal the intake manifold and throttle body. If you are building the intake instead, the billet pieces matter: SPE Motorsport billet intake flanges, MAP and IAT sensor bungs for custom piping, and a compressor outlet adapter, plus the XDP O-ring that seals its billet intercooler adapters. MAP sensor spacers and relocators from SPE, Pacific Performance Engineering (PPE) and S&B are here as well.

Fitment notes
Most sensors and gaskets here are listed for 2011-2019, so they are not specific to your three model years; read each listing's fitment line. The MAF sensors are the exception: the Alliant Power AP63594 and XDP XD1027 are listed for 2017-2019, and the XDP part is also listed for the 2018-2020 3.0L Power Stroke in the F-150. Size couplers and shutdown valves to the pipe they mount on. Chassis cabs (F-350, F-450 and F-550) run a different turbo and calibration and many parts differ, so confirm fitment on cab-and-chassis trucks. When in doubt, verify by VIN.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need new gaskets when I pull the intake manifold or throttle body?
Plan on it. The MAHLE MS19881 intake manifold gasket set and SPE S100314 gaskets are listed for the 6.7L, and the MAHLE G32584 covers the throttle body joint. A fresh gasket is less work than pulling the intake a second time to chase a boost leak.
Which MAF sensor fits a 2017-2019 6.7L Powerstroke?
Both the Alliant Power AP63594 and the XDP XD1027 are listed for these years. The XDP sensor is also listed for the 2018-2020 3.0L Power Stroke F-150. Check the number on your old sensor, or call with your VIN and we will confirm.
What does a positive air shutdown do?
It closes off the intake so the engine stops when its air supply is cut. BD Diesel offers the valve in 3-inch and 3.5-inch sizes, and the E-PAS emergency engine shutdown is listed for 2011-2019 Power Stroke. Pick the size that matches the pipe where it will mount, or call the shop for help choosing.
How do I service an oiled S&B filter?
S&B's cotton filter is a cleanable, eight-layer oiled element, and the 88-0008 Precision II kit carries the cleaner and oil to service it. If you would rather skip the oil, S&B also makes a dry extendable element for its 75-5085 intake.
