The EcoDiesel Ram 1500 uses a short/long-arm independent front and a coil-sprung rear axle located by links. On the DT that rear is a five-link design. Because the rear rides on coil springs, a coil-spring DT can be lifted the conventional way, with front and rear parts sized for the height you choose. Trucks with factory four-corner air suspension, and the Rebel with its factory off-road setup, need kits matched to that equipment.
What to know before you lift
A lift on this truck is a build choice, not a repair; we have no documented EcoDiesel-specific spring or shock failure that a lift would fix. Plan the whole job before you order. BDS also sells upper control arm kits for 2-3 inch and 4-6 inch lifts; read your lift kit's parts list first so you know whether you need them. Any lift changes front-end geometry, so plan on an alignment after install.
Choosing height and shock package
- 2 inches: a mild lift. BDS offers it with FOX 2.0 coil-overs for the 2014-2018 DS and as a coil-over kit for the 2019-2023 DT.
- 3 inches: offered for the DT with FOX 2.5 Performance Elite coil-overs.
- 4 inches: available for both bodies as a standard kit or with FOX 2.5 Performance Elite coil-overs, plus a 4-inch kit made for 2019-2023 DT trucks with factory air ride.
- 6 inches: available for both bodies, standard or with FOX 2.5 Performance Elite coil-overs.

What we carry
The kits in this collection come from BDS Suspension. The DS kits are labeled 2014-2018 and the DT kits are labeled 2019-2023 3.0L EcoDiesel, and they are listed for 4WD trucks. For DT owners with factory air suspension, the 4-inch air-ride kit is the one built for that system.
Fitment notes
DS and DT suspensions are different designs, and no lift kit crosses between them. A kit labeled 2019-2023 is a DT kit, and the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic is a DS, so Classic owners should match by VIN rather than model year. Air-ride and coil-spring trucks take different hardware; confirm yours from the RPO codes on the build sheet. Rebel EcoDiesels arrived for 2020, and the Rebel's factory off-road setup needs a matched kit. For 2023, the EcoDiesel was only sold as a Crew Cab 4x4.
Frequently asked questions
Will a BDS lift kit fit a Ram Rebel EcoDiesel?
Confirm before you order. The Rebel got the EcoDiesel starting in 2020 and has its own factory off-road suspension setup, which needs a kit matched to it. Run your VIN through the fitment checker or call us and we will confirm the right kit.
My EcoDiesel has factory air ride. Can I lift it?
Yes, with the right kit. BDS lists a 4-inch lift built for 2019-2023 EcoDiesel trucks with air ride and 4WD. Do not install a coil-spring kit on an air truck; the two take different hardware.
What is the difference between the FOX and standard BDS kits?
The FOX versions include FOX coil-overs (FOX 2.0 on the 2-inch DS kit, FOX 2.5 Performance Elite on the taller kits), so the shocks come matched to the lift. The standard kits are listed without FOX coil-overs. Check each product page for the full parts list.
