2020-2022 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke Monitor Accessories

Edge add-on sensors for the 2020-2022 Ford F-250, F-350 and F-450 Super Duty with the 6.7L Powerstroke. A plug-in monitor shows what the truck's computers report over OBD-II, and nothing more. These Edge EAS parts add readings of your own, including an exhaust gas temperature kit Edge sells as its Daily Driver/Tow Kit.

Monitor accessories on the 2020-2022 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

A plug-in monitor on these trucks reads the OBD-II data stream. That stream includes gear and transmission temperature from the 10R140's dedicated transmission control module, which diesel trucks use instead of running the transmission from the engine computer. It also carries boost, DPF regen status, DEF data and exhaust gas temperature where the PCM reports it. The limit is in that last phrase: you only see what the computers share. Edge's EAS parts add their own sensors so a channel can be read directly instead of relying only on the factory stream. They are accessories for Edge monitors such as the Insight CTS3 84130-3, a digital gauge monitor for gas and diesel vehicles with an OBD-II port. None of this touches the Powerstroke calibration.

Why add a sensor

There is no failure pattern tied to these parts on this truck. They are about seeing trouble coming. Heat is the thing to watch under tow, and one 10R140 transmission guide suggests keeping transmission temperature under about 220°F when towing. A dedicated EGT reading next to trans temp gives you an engine number and a transmission number on one screen during a long pull. The 0-100 PSI pressure sensor adds one more channel of your choosing.

What we carry

This page carries Edge Products EAS accessories. The Edge 98620 EAS EGT Kit is the Daily Driver/Tow Kit, built to add an exhaust gas temperature reading to a compatible Edge monitor. The Edge 98607 EAS Pressure Sensor reads 0-100 PSI and adds a pressure channel to the screen. They feed readings to the monitor and do not reprogram anything, so the truck runs on its factory calibration with its emissions equipment in place. If you still need the screen itself, the Insight CTS3 is in the Monitors section for this truck.

Fitment notes

These sensors pair with your Edge monitor more than with the truck, so confirm your monitor supports EAS accessories before you order. Check the product details for compatible monitors. A sensor kit has to be mounted and wired, so if that is not work you want to do, have a shop handle it. We install what we sell in Wildwood, FL. For the 2020-2022 F-250, F-350 and F-450 with the 6.7L Powerstroke, verify the details by VIN or call us with questions.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an Edge monitor to use these?

Yes. EAS parts are accessories that report to an Edge monitor, and they do not have a display of their own. The Insight CTS3 84130-3 is the Edge monitor we carry for this truck. Check the product details for the monitors each accessory supports.

Will an EGT kit or pressure sensor change my tune or emissions equipment?

No. They add readings to your monitor and do not reprogram the engine. A data-only monitor like the Insight CTS3 reads information and does not alter calibration, so the 6.7L keeps its factory programming and aftertreatment.

Why watch temperatures when towing with the 10R140?

A long, heavy pull builds heat. One 10R140 transmission guide suggests keeping transmission temperature under about 220°F when towing, and the monitor reads trans temp from the TCM. Adding a dedicated EGT reading alongside it gives you more warning before things get hot.
