2015-2016 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke ECM Unlock & Tuning Cables

Custom tuning accessories for the 2015-2016 Ford F-250, F-350 and F-450 with the 6.7L Powerstroke: HP Tuners hardware plus a five-position switch and bracket. None of these parts adds power on its own. What matters is the calibration you pair them with, which has to be written for 2015-2016 and carry a CARB EO number.

Tuning accessories for the 2015-2016 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

Calibration drives a lot of this engine's output. Ford took early 2011 trucks to 400 hp and 800 lb-ft with a free PCM reflash, and the 2015-2016 calibration rates the engine at 440 hp and 860 lb-ft. The parts in this group sit around the calibration: an interface to connect to the truck, the HP Tuners RTD4, and a switch with a bracket to choose between positions from the driver's seat. Calibrations are year-specific: 2015-2016 differs from 2011-2014 and 2017-2019, and the chassis-cab engine is its own calibration.

What we carry

  • HP Tuners MPVI4 vehicle interface.
  • HP Tuners RTD4, Southern Diesel Supply Edition.
  • SPE Motorsport plug-and-play five-position SOFT switch for 2011-2019 6.7L Powerstroke trucks.
  • SPE Motorsport five-position switch bracket listed for 1999-2022 7.3L, 6.0L, 6.4L and 6.7L Powerstroke trucks.

Fitment notes

The hardware spans wider years than any calibration: the SOFT switch lists 2011-2019 and the SPE bracket 1999-2022. A switch that fits your truck still needs a calibration written for 2015-2016. Any calibration you run must keep EGR, the DOC, the DPF and SCR in place and working and carry its own CARB EO number. Ford also issued PCM campaigns on these years, including 15V175 for a false over-temperature shutdown, so confirm recall software is current. Browse the full tuners category, or verify by VIN with the shop.

Frequently asked questions

Does the SPE SOFT switch work on a 2016 F-350?

It is listed as plug-and-play for 2011-2019 6.7L Powerstroke trucks, so a 2016 falls in range. The switch only does something when the calibration in the truck is written to read it. Check the listing or the fitment checker for your exact truck.

Is this hardware emissions-legal?

The interface, RTD4, switch and bracket don't change your emissions equipment by themselves. Legality comes down to the calibration you load: it has to keep EGR, the DOC, the DPF and SCR working and carry a CARB EO number. In EO states, request the decal from the manufacturer for inspection.
