2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke Turbo Accessories

These are the parts that go around the turbo on a 2011-2014 Ford F-250 or F-350 with the 6.7L Powerstroke: install and clamp kits, gaskets, V-band and hose clamps, turbo blankets, a cool-down timer and a boost leak tester. The one rule: never reuse old gaskets and seals on a turbo job.

Turbo accessories on the 2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

The 6.7L's turbo lives in the engine valley, fed by valley-mounted manifolds and up-pipes, with oil feed and drain lines and coolant lines running to it, since the factory GT32 is both oil- and water-cooled. That puts a lot of joints in a hot, tight space. The intake side has its own weak spots: the factory charge-air system uses a plastic cold-side pipe and boots. Every one of those joints is a place for oil, coolant or boost to escape.

What leaks and why

Ford used a quick-connect turbo coolant inlet fitting on 2011 trucks and changed to bolt-on fittings for 2012, and the oil feed and drain O-rings harden with heat and age. The signs are oil or coolant seeping in the valley and a coolant smell. The turbo oil feed and drain lines, coolant lines and pedestal are the usual leak points. On the intake side, leaks at the plastic cold-side pipe and boots cause hissing under load, oily couplers, low power with no codes and high EGT, which is easy to mistake for a failing turbo.

Service parts vs. add-ons

The Alliant install kits and MAHLE gasket set are the service parts for a turbo swap; the blankets, cool-down timer and boost tester are add-ons you choose for heat control and diagnosis. Whether you're installing a reman, a drop-in or a full upgrade, flush the oil lines and replace every gasket, seal and crush washer; skip that and a reman can fail early. Service the CCV separator and inspect the charge pipes at the same time, because oil-fouled pipes and crankcase pressure kill new turbos.

What we carry

For the install itself there are Alliant Power kits made for this truck: the AP0166 Turbocharger Installation Kit and AP0167 Turbocharger Clamp Kit for 2011-2014, and the AP0221 Installation Kit With Clamps for 2011-2019. MAHLE covers the gaskets with the GS33692 Turbocharger Mounting Gasket Set for 2011-2014, the F33386 turbo gasket, and T4 inlet and T6 flange gaskets. For clamps you'll find BD Diesel full Marmon and exhaust V-band clamps and high torque hose clamps, plus Turbosmart constant tension clamps in the 1.625-2.375 size range. Heat control comes from titanium turbo blankets by Pacific Performance Engineering (T4 and T6), Mishimoto and ATS (T4). BD's Cool Down Timer 2 keeps the engine idling for a set time after you shut the truck off, and Calibrated Power Solutions sells the Stealth Boost Tester HD Regulator with a 6.7L compressor inlet adapter and an S300/S400/S400R/S500 inlet adapter for leak testing. Browse every turbo part for your engine from our Powerstroke hub or the full turbos category.

Fitment notes

The Alliant AP0166 and AP0167 and the MAHLE GS33692 are listed for 2011-2014 trucks, while the AP0221 covers 2011-2019 and the MAHLE F33386 covers 2011-2026, so read the year range on each. 2011-2014 pickups and 2011-2016 chassis cabs run different turbos, so confirm your body style before ordering turbo-specific parts. Ford revised the turbo oil supply line and pedestal for 2017, so lines and pedestal parts from a later truck are not the same as yours. Blankets and the T4 and T6 gaskets are matched to your turbo's flange, so check what you are running. Verify by VIN.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need new gaskets and seals when I replace the turbo?

Yes. Flush the oil lines and replace every gasket, seal and crush washer, or a reman turbo can fail early. The MAHLE mounting gasket set and the Alliant installation kits put the pieces in hand before you start.

How do I find a boost leak on my 6.7L?

Pressurize the charge-air system and listen for it. The Stealth Boost Tester HD Regulator with the 6.7L compressor inlet adapter is made for that job. Start with the factory plastic cold-side pipe and boots, a known leak point on these trucks that feels a lot like a bad turbo.

Why is oil or coolant seeping around my turbo?

The usual leak points are the turbo oil feed and drain lines, the coolant lines and the pedestal. On 2011 trucks the quick-connect coolant inlet fitting is a known leaker, and Ford switched to bolt-on fittings for 2012. O-rings also harden with heat and age, so replace them rather than reuse them.

Which turbo blanket fits my truck?

PPE makes titanium woven blankets in T4 and T6 versions, ATS offers a T4 blanket, and Mishimoto has its MMHP-TB titanium blanket. Pick the one that matches the turbine flange on the turbo you run and check each listing's fitment notes. If you are not sure, call the shop with your turbo's part number.
