2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke Monitor Accessories

These are the add-ons that build out a monitor setup on a 2011-2014 Ford F-250 or F-350 Super Duty with the 6.7L Powerstroke: Edge EAS sensors and a vent mount. Worth knowing up front: Edge EAS accessories daisy-chain into Edge CTS3 units, so plan your sensors around the screen you run.

Monitor accessories for the 2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

A monitor reads what the PCM reports over OBD-II. Accessories add your own sensors to that picture, or put the screen where you can see it. On the 6.7L Powerstroke, the factory EGT sensors sit in the aftertreatment, and on 2011-2012 trucks they had a failure history, including recall 13S10 on Ambulance Package trucks and sporadic failures on pickups, that could shut the truck down. A separate EGT probe gives you an independent reading.

What we carry

From Edge Products we carry the 98620 EAS EGT Kit, sold as the Daily Driver/Tow kit, and the 98607 EAS pressure sensor, which reads 0-100 PSI. Both are EAS accessories that daisy-chain into Edge CTS3 units such as the Insight CTS3. From SPE Motorsport, the S200107 vent mount holds a Mini Maxx screen in a dash vent on 2008-2016 6.4L and 6.7L trucks.

How to choose

Start with the screen. The EAS parts are built to daisy-chain into an Edge CTS3 unit, so they make sense if you run one or plan to. The 98620 EGT kit is sold as a Daily Driver/Tow kit, which suits an owner who tows and wants an independent exhaust temperature reading. The 98607 sensor reads 0-100 PSI, so match that range to the pressure you intend to watch. If your screen is a Mini Maxx rather than an Edge unit, the SPE vent mount is the piece you want.

Fitment notes

The SPE vent mount is listed for 2008-2016 6.4L and 6.7L trucks, so it covers the full 2011-2014 range. EAS sensors are matched to the Edge screen rather than to the cab or trim, so confirm your Edge unit is a CTS3 before you order. We install what we sell at the shop in Wildwood, FL, if you would rather hand off the probe install.

Frequently asked questions

Do Edge EAS sensors work without an Edge screen?

Edge builds EAS accessories to daisy-chain into its CTS3 units, and that screen is where the reading appears. Pair them with a CTS3, such as the Insight CTS3 84130-3 on our Monitors page.

Is an aftermarket EGT kit worth it on a 2011 or 2012 truck?

Those model years had factory EGT sensor failures, including recall 13S10 for Ambulance Package trucks and sporadic failures on pickups, and a failed sensor could shut the truck down while driving. An Edge EAS EGT probe gives you an independent reading, so you are not relying on a single sensor.

Does adding EAS sensors require a CARB EO?

The CARB EO question turns on what the screen does, not on the sensors. Edge states the Insight CTS3 monitor needs no CARB EO because it only reads data. If the unit is upgraded to an Evolution tuner, the CARB EO rules for tuning apply.
