Call or Text (352) 722-5295Monitor accessories for the 2008-2010 Ford 6.4L Powerstroke
On a 6.4L Powerstroke, the readings worth watching are regen status, exhaust gas temperature, boost and transmission temperature. The factory cluster does not show regen status, which is the main reason to add a monitor. Accessories take that monitor further. Mounting pods, harness adapters and EGT probes are the usual add-ons, and this page carries sensors and a mount.
Why the readings matter on this engine
Interrupted regens from short trips are a documented cause of DPF loading and oil dilution on the 6.4L, with frequent regens and a rising oil level as the signs. During active regen the DPF burns off soot at roughly 1,100-1,400 F. A monitor that shows regen status tells you a cycle is running so you can let it finish, and EGT shows you the heat. An EGT gauge is a monitoring-only upgrade, so it stays compliant.
What we carry
Edge Products supplies the 98620 EAS EGT kit, packaged as the Daily Driver/Tow kit, and the 98607 EAS pressure sensor with a 0-100 psi range. Both belong to Edge's EAS accessory line and feed a compatible Edge monitor. SPE Motorsport adds the S200107 vent mount, made to hold a Mini Maxx and listed for 2008-2016 6.4L and 6.7L trucks.
How to choose
Start with the monitor you already run. EAS sensors only make sense if your Edge monitor supports them, so confirm compatibility on the product page. If you tow or want to watch exhaust heat during regens, the EGT kit is the logical first add-on. The pressure sensor's 0-100 psi range sits well above the roughly 40-42 psi the stock compound turbos make. If you run a Mini Maxx, the SPE vent mount puts it where you can see it.
Fitment notes
Monitors are not platform-specific hardware, and the Edge sensors here are not tied to one truck. Mounts are different. The Super Duty interior was fully redesigned for 2008, so 2005-2007 pods differ. Check each listing for your monitor model, and verify your truck by VIN if you are unsure.
Frequently asked questions
Will the Edge EAS sensors work with any monitor?
Not any monitor. They belong to Edge's EAS accessory line and are built for a compatible Edge monitor. Check the product page for supported monitor models before you order. If you are not sure which monitor you have, call the shop for free fitment help.
Why add an EGT probe to a 6.4L?
EGT is part of the parameter set that makes a monitor worth having on this engine, along with regen status and transmission temperature. An EGT gauge is a compliant, monitoring-only upgrade. Edge packages its 98620 kit as a Daily Driver/Tow kit, which tells you who it is aimed at.
Will the SPE Mini Maxx vent mount fit a newer truck?
It is listed for 2008-2016 6.4L and 6.7L trucks, so it carries from the 6.4L into the 2011-2016 6.7L trucks. It is not listed for 2005-2007 trucks, whose interior differs from the 2008 redesign. Verify by VIN if you are unsure.
