Call or Text (352) 722-5295Turbo accessories on the 2007.5-2010 Chevrolet LMM
The factory Garrett GT3788VA is a water-cooled variable-vane turbo with an air-to-air intercooler, revised on the LMM for better efficiency. Its vanes are moved by an oil-pressure-controlled solenoid and tracked by a vane position sensor. That means a turbo job on a Silverado HD touches oil lines, coolant lines and electrical connections, not just flange bolts. The core LMM turbo accessories are the VGT solenoid, the vane position sensor, gasket kits and turbo blankets.
When an accessory is the fix
A failed actuator or solenoid, or a sensor or wiring fault, can mimic stuck vanes, and a dead actuator leaves the vanes locked in one spot. That is why the Alliant Power AP91000 vane actuator lives here. The factory vane position sensor is 763527-0712, which covers 2004.5-2016. If your Silverado feels laggy, fix upstream exhaust leaks at the up-pipe and manifolds before blaming the turbo. The MAHLE F32918 up-pipe-to-turbo gasket seals that joint.

Fitment notes
Many parts here are listed for 2001-2010, 2001-2016 or 2004.5-2016 Duramax trucks, ranges that take in your 2007.5-2010 LMM. Kits labeled S300/S400 are for aftermarket frame turbos, not the factory Garrett. Make sure your truck is the GMT900 body and not a 2007 Silverado HD Classic, which has the LBZ. Verify by VIN.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need new gaskets if I am only cleaning the vanes?
Yes. Cleaning means pulling the turbo and taking the turbine side apart, so it goes back on with fresh gaskets. The inlet gaskets and the oil feed and drain gaskets come in separate kits, so order both.
Which heat blanket fits the factory LMM turbo?
Go by the listing years. The WCFab VGT blanket and the Mishimoto MMTB-DMAX-05 are listed for 2004.5-2016 6.6L Duramax. Blankets sold by housing size, like the T4 and T6 versions, are for turbos with that housing, so match the housing on your turbo.
What is the boost tester for?
The Calibrated Power Solutions Stealth Boost Tester HD regulator is for pressure-testing the intake side for leaks. The faceplate adapter is listed for 2004.5-2016 Duramax, and the inlet adapter fits S300, S400, S400R and S500 turbos, so pick the adapter that matches your setup.
Is the Alliant Power actuator made only for the LMM?
No. The AP91000 is listed for the 2003-2007 6.0L Power Stroke and the 2004.5-2010 6.6L Duramax, which includes your Silverado. Confirm the actuator is the fault before you buy it, since wiring and sensor problems can look the same.
