Merchant Automotive was founded in 2004 and is based in Holland, Michigan. The company builds its catalog around one platform: the 6.6L Duramax and the Allison transmission behind it. That focus shows in the parts. Most of what they make fixes a known weak spot on these trucks, like the transfer case pump housing or the fuel filter head, instead of covering every make on the road.
