Built for 2017-2023 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty single rear wheel (SRW) trucks with the 6.7L Powerstroke and the 14-bolt rear cover, in 2x4 or 4x4. Mag-Hytec's application notes for the F14-275 read:

Count the bolts on your rear cover before you order. This cover is listed for single rear wheel trucks only, so it is not the part for a dual rear wheel F-350. Why this part

The F14-275 is built around two jobs: keeping the rear differential fluid and gears cool, and keeping metal out of the oil. The housing is aircraft quality aluminum with machined fins for maximum cooling, and the cover brings total capacity to 7 quarts. Mag-Hytec designs its covers to hold more fluid than stock, so there is more gear oil on hand to carry heat away from the gears.

The built-in magnetic drain plug captures ferrous metal particulates in the lube so they are not carried back through the gears. You can drain the oil at the plug, and flush the differential fluid, without taking off the cover. The aluminum dipstick lets you inspect the fluid level and visually check the quality of the gear oil between changes, so low or dirty oil does not go unnoticed on a truck that tows.

Installation notes

This differential cover requires Allen key wrenches for installation and service, so have them on hand before you pull the stock cover. The O-ring gasket provides a leak-free seal without sealant, and the 303 stainless steel hardware comes in the box. Once the cover is on, routine fluid service happens at the drain plug and dipstick, so the cover does not need to come back off for a gear oil change.

Will the F14-275 fit a dual rear wheel F-350?

No. Mag-Hytec lists it for single rear wheel F-250 and F-350 trucks with the 14-bolt rear cover, including the F-250 Camper Special and special order 14-bolt trucks. If you are not sure which axle you have, call us with your VIN.

Do I need gasket maker or RTV?

No. The O-ring gasket requires no sealant. Mag-Hytec backs the cover with a limited lifetime warranty and the O-rings for 5 years.

How do I change the gear oil with this cover installed?

Pull the magnetic drain plug to drain the oil, wipe the captured metal off the magnet, then refill and confirm the level on the aluminum dipstick. You can flush the differential fluid without removing the cover. Total capacity is 7 quarts.
