The Mag-Hytec AA14-9.25-A is an aluminum front differential cover for the AAM 9.25 front axle on 4x4 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks with the 5.9L Cummins. It holds 4 quarts, has a magnetic drain plug and a dipstick, and gives you a 1/8" NPT port for a temperature sender. Owners buy it for easier front diff service and a way to watch the gear oil.

That range runs into the 6.7L years, which our catalog does not tag for this part, so verify fitment by VIN or call before ordering for a 6.7L truck.
Mag-Hytec notes that this re-designed cover works on 90% of Dodge trucks. Stack tolerances differ from one truck to the next, so some modification could be required to clear all steering components. Be extra attentive to fitment and clearance before you install it.
Why this part
A front cover with a drain plug and a dipstick changes how you service the axle. Check the gear oil level with the anodized, magnetized aluminum dipstick, and drain through the magnetic drain plug instead of pulling the cover. The magnet holds the fine wear metal the axle sheds so it stays out of the oil between services. Capacity is 4 quarts.
The 1/8" NPT temperature port lets you add a sender and watch front diff temperature on a gauge. The cover seals with a Lube Locker gasket and bolts on with 303 stainless steel hardware.

Installation notes
Because stack tolerances vary, set the cover in place and check clearance to the steering components before you bolt it down and fill it. The overall height is 3 5/8", so that is the number to measure against your steering parts. Most Dodge trucks take it as designed; Mag-Hytec says some may need modification to clear all steering components.
