The Mag-Hytec 68RFE transmission pan, part number 68RFE-A, replaces the factory pan on 2007.5-2024 Dodge Ram and Ram 2500/3500 pickups with the 6.7L Cummins and the 68RFE automatic. It is finned aircraft grade aluminum, holds 3 quarts more than stock and adds a magnetic drain plug and a 1/8" NPT temperature sender port. You buy it for more fluid and more cooling.
Fitment
This pan fits the 68RFE automatic behind the 6.7L Cummins in 2007.5-2024 Dodge Ram and Ram 2500/3500 pickups. That covers all three generations of the engine in that span: 2007.5-2012, 2013-2018 and 2019-2024. It is not listed for 2025-and-newer trucks, which use the TorqueFlite HD 8-speed automatic instead of the 68RFE. Trucks with a manual transmission, and chassis cabs built with the Aisin automatic, are not 68RFE trucks and need a different pan. Verify fitment by VIN or call us before you order. Mag-Hytec built this pan to protect the transmission with extra depth and fluid capacity for maximum cooling. Three more quarts in the sump means more fluid sharing the heat load, and the fins on the bottom give that heat more surface to leave through. The magnetic drain plug holds the fine wear metal a transmission sheds so it stays out of the fluid between services, and every drain shows you what has collected on it. The built-in 1/8" temperature port gives you an easy place to install a sender for a transmission temperature gauge, so you can watch fluid temperature when you tow instead of guessing.

Does the pan come with a transmission filter?
No. Transmission filters are not included, so order one with the pan. Since the pan holds 3 quarts more than stock, plan on about 3 extra quarts of fluid at the first fill.
What goes in the temperature port?
The 1/8" NPT port takes a temperature sender for a transmission temperature gauge. The sender and gauge are not part of this listing.
Will it fit my 2025 Ram?
No. This pan is for 2007.5-2024 trucks with the 68RFE. 2025-and-newer Ram pickups use the TorqueFlite HD 8-speed. If you are not sure which transmission your truck has, verify by VIN or call us.
