2019-2024 Ram 6.7L Cummins Exhaust Systems

Complete DPF-back exhaust systems for 2019-2024 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups with the 6.7L Cummins, from Banks Power and MBRP. These replace the factory muffler and tailpipe section behind the SCR. What every owner should know: the DPF, SCR and the rest of the factory aftertreatment stay on the truck, and the factory exhaust brake keeps working.

DPF-back exhaust on the 2019-2024 RAM 6.7L Cummins

Every 2019-2024 Cummins pickup came with cooled EGR, a DOC, a DPF and SCR with DEF. Exhaust leaves the turbo, runs through the DOC and DPF canister, past the DEF injector and through the SCR catalyst, then out the muffler and a single tailpipe. A DPF-back system starts behind the SCR and replaces only that last muffler and tailpipe section. On this platform, that's the compliant upgrade path: the Banks 5-inch Monster and the MBRP 5-inch S61640409 filter-back are the documented systems, and both are in this collection. Because the turbo's variable vanes act as the exhaust brake, nothing about your braking changes when the tailpipe section does.

What a DPF-back will and won't fix

A new back section changes the sound, the look and the backpressure behind the DPF. Banks claims up to 9% lower backpressure at the turbine inlet with its Monster system. What it won't do is fix problems upstream. If your truck is regenerating far more often than the roughly 300 to 500 miles owner guides describe, or you're seeing long cranks, power loss and codes like P2002, P242F or P2463, that's a DPF problem to diagnose first. The same goes for SCR codes such as P204F or P20EE, which on these trucks usually trace back to DEF injector crystallization or a failed NOx sensor. Sort those out, then bolt on the exhaust.

Stock replacement vs. upgrade

MBRP offers the same 5-inch filter-back layout in two lines: the Armor Lite S61640AL and the Armor Plus S61640409. Banks builds its Monster as a constant-diameter system in 409 stainless, and Banks states it needs no CARB EO because all aftertreatment is retained. If your factory tailpipe section is simply worn out, any of these replaces it as a complete kit, so you aren't patching one piece at a time.

What we carry

Banks Power Monster Exhaust systems are here in two versions: the 5-inch SRW kit for 2019-2024 Cummins pickups and the 49808 5-inch 409 stainless single-exit kit for DRW trucks. MBRP has the S61640AL Armor Lite and S61640409 Armor Plus 5-inch filter-back systems, plus a universal exhaust adapter for joining pipe sections. Tips, mufflers and manifold parts from more brands are on our main exhaust page.

Fitment notes

DPF-back systems are specific to cab and bed length, so know your truck before you order. The Banks Monster SRW kit is listed for Crew Cab short bed, Mega Cab short bed and Crew Cab long bed single-rear-wheel trucks, and dually 3500s need a DRW-specific kit like the Banks 49808. The MBRP systems here call out Mega Cab short bed and Crew Cab long bed in their titles, so Crew Cab short bed and Regular Cab owners should confirm with the fitment checker or give us a call. DPF-back parts carry over from 2019 through 2026 on Banks and MBRP listings, since the 2025 refresh changed the engine side of the exhaust, not the section behind the SCR.

Frequently asked questions

Is a DPF-back exhaust legal on a 2019-2024 Ram 2500 or 3500?

A DPF-back replaces only the muffler and tailpipe section behind the SCR, and the DPF and SCR assembly stays on the truck. Banks states no CARB EO is required for its Monster DPF-back because all aftertreatment is retained. Every complete system in this collection is a DPF-back kit.

Will a 5-inch DPF-back add power?

Banks' claim is lower backpressure, up to 9% at the turbine inlet, not a horsepower number. Your exhaust brake and all aftertreatment stay stock. The practical gains are the sound, the 5-inch look and a new tailpipe section.

Which kit fits my Crew Cab short bed?

The Banks Monster SRW kit lists Crew Cab short bed along with Mega Cab short bed and Crew Cab long bed. The MBRP filter-back systems here call out Mega Cab short bed and Crew Cab long bed, so check the fitment checker on the product page before ordering one for a Crew Cab short bed. Call us if the cab and bed callouts don't match your truck.

Will a 2019-2024 kit fit a 2025 Ram?

DPF-back parts carry over from 2019 through 2026 on Banks and MBRP listings, because the 2025 refresh changed the engine-side exhaust, not the section behind the SCR. Still confirm the year range on the specific product, since some listings in this collection stop at 2024 or 2025.
