The MBRP Universal Exhaust Adapter joins two different pipe sizes in your exhaust. It comes in diameters from 3.5" to 5" and in your choice of aluminized steel or T409 stainless steel. Owners buy it when a muffler, tip or pipe section does not match the tubing it connects to.

Fitment

This adapter is universal. It is not made for one truck or model year, so fitment is about diameter, not build date. MBRP offers it in sizes from 3.5" up to 5". Check the size listed on each option against the pipes you are joining, and measure both before you order. It is sold under eight part numbers: UA2001, UA2003, UA2004, UA2005, UA2007, UA9001, UA9004 and UA1007, and the option you pick sets the size and material. If you are not sure which one your setup needs, verify by VIN or call us and we will help you sort it out.

Why this part

Change one piece of an exhaust and you can end up with two pipes that don't match. A new muffler, a bigger tip or a run of aftermarket tubing can all do it. MBRP built this adapter for that job, and it is ideal when transitioning exhaust size for mufflers, tips and more. It is a simple way to customize your exhaust when the sizes change.

Material is the other choice. Aluminized steel is MBRP's most value-oriented material and a good option for dry climates with no rain or salt. If you want an exhaust part that doesn't break the bank, this is it, and the aluminized version offers a 3-year warranty. T409 stainless steel is the upgrade. It can be polished to look the same as T304, with slightly reduced durability, and it is best for moderate climates with some rain. The T409 version comes with a lifetime warranty.

About MBRP

Along with complete bolt-on systems, it builds the pieces that go into them: mufflers, downpipes, up-pipes and exhaust tips, in aluminized and stainless steel. Frequently asked questions

Which size do I need?

Measure the two pipes you are joining. The adapter comes in diameters from 3.5" to 5", and each option lists its size. If your pipes don't line up with an option, call us before you order.

Should I pick aluminized or T409 stainless?

Go by climate and budget. Aluminized is MBRP's value option for dry areas with no rain or salt and has a 3-year warranty. T409 suits moderate climates with some rain, can be polished to look like T304 and has a lifetime warranty.

Can I use it to fit a tip that is bigger than my pipe?

That is one of the jobs it is made for. MBRP lists it as ideal when transitioning exhaust size for mufflers, tips and more. Make sure the adapter's sizes match both your pipe and the tip inlet.
