Call or Text (352) 722-5295Gauge monitors on the 2019-2024 RAM 6.7L Cummins
The fifth-generation Ram HD came with a 7-inch color driver display, and from 2023 Ram offered an available 12-inch frameless digital cluster. An add-on monitor gives you a separate screen for the numbers you want to keep an eye on. It reads the factory data over OBD-II, including boost, exhaust gas temperature, transmission temperature, and DPF soot and regen status.
Regen status is worth having on the 6.7L Cummins. The DPF is cleaned with in-cylinder post-injection, and that fuel can thin the oil, especially on trucks that idle a lot or make short, cold trips. Seeing when a regen is running beats wondering.
What to watch for
There's no hardware failure pattern specific to monitors on this truck. The issue owners hit is the Security Gateway Module FCA added for 2018 and newer trucks. It lets normal OBD-II reads through but blocks write functions such as tire-size changes, remote start setup and flashing. A device that connects fine but won't do one of those jobs is being stopped by the gateway. A monitor that only reads never runs into that wall.
What we carry
This collection carries the Edge Insight CTS3 Universal OBD-II Monitoring unit from Edge Products. It's a touchscreen monitor that works on any OBD-II vehicle from 1996 on, and it is monitoring only, with no tuning. Edge also sells the 38603 A-pillar mount made for the 2019 and newer Ram 2500/3500, plus EGT and 0-100 psi pressure sensor kits that add external sensors to the CTS3. You'll find those in the mounts and accessories collections for this truck.
Fitment notes
Because the CTS3 is universal OBD-II, it works on every 2019-2024 Ram 2500 and 3500 with the 6.7L, and it can come with you to your next truck. The mount is the truck-specific part: the 38603 fits 2019-2026 Ram 2500/3500 but not trucks with the factory Head-Up Display. Verify by VIN if you aren't sure what your truck has.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Insight CTS3 a tuner?
No. The CTS3 sold here is a monitoring tool. It reads data from the truck and does not change the engine calibration, which is also why the Security Gateway doesn't block it.
What readings will I see on a 2019-2024 6.7L?
The CTS3 reads the factory data over OBD-II, including boost, exhaust gas temperature, transmission temperature, and DPF soot and regen status. Add an Edge EGT or pressure sensor kit if you want a reading from a sensor you install.
Can I move the monitor to another truck later?
Yes. Edge built the Insight CTS3 to work on any OBD-II vehicle from 1996 on. The A-pillar mount is generation-specific, so plan on a different mount if the next truck isn't a 2019 or newer Ram 2500/3500.
