2020-2022 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke ECM Tuning

ECM calibration products for the 2020-2022 Ford F-250, F-350 and F-450 with the 6.7L Powerstroke. Ford calls the engine computer the PCM, and on these diesel trucks a separate TCM runs the 10-speed. Before any calibration touches either one, make sure the fuel pump recall software is current and the calibration carries a CARB EO number for your year.

The engine computer on the 2020-2022 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

On the third-generation 6.7L Powerstroke, the PCM calibration carries a lot of weight. When Ford built the 2023 High-Output engine, it said the gain came primarily from a different PCM calibration, together with a unique turbo and upgraded exhaust manifolds. On a customer truck, the deciding document is the CARB Executive Order: a calibration needs one for this exact engine and year, and none was confirmed for 2020-2022 in our research.

Recall status before calibration

Ford's CP4.2 fuel pump recall 24S78 (NHTSA 24V957000) updated both PCM and TCM software, and the 26S17 re-repair (NHTSA 26V158000) updated PCM software again. Aftermarket calibration can interfere with a dealer completing that work, and the calibration state of both modules matters for warranty and recall compliance.

What we carry

This collection holds a Calibrated Power Custom 5 Tune Pack, titled for 2023-2025 6.7L Powerstroke trucks, and the Calibrated Power Solutions DSP no-drill switch bracket, listed for 2011-2022 6.7L trucks. More tuning hardware lives in our tuners category.

Fitment notes

The tune pack's title covers the fifth-generation 2023-2025 trucks, so a 2020-2022 owner should not assume it applies. The bracket's span does cover 2020-2022. Confirm year coverage and EO status with the shop before you order, and verify by VIN.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the PCM and the TCM on this truck?

The PCM runs the engine. On diesel trucks with the 10R140, a separate TCM runs the transmission instead of sharing the PCM. Ford's 24S78 recall remedy updated software in both modules.

Can I load a calibration before the recall is done?

Don't. The recall software needs to be current, and aftermarket calibration can interfere with the dealer completing the recall. Have the recall status checked by VIN first.

Does the Custom 5 Tune Pack cover 2020-2022 trucks?

Its title lists 2023-2025 6.7L Powerstroke trucks, which are the new fifth-generation Super Duty. Call the shop with your VIN before ordering for a 2020-2022 truck, and ask for the EO number for your year.
