2020-2022 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke Digital Monitors

Digital monitors for the 2020-2022 Ford F-250, F-350 and F-450 Super Duty with the 6.7L Powerstroke. The Edge Insight CTS3 plugs into the OBD-II port and shows what the engine and the 10R140 transmission are doing. It reads data only, so the truck keeps its factory calibration. When you tow, it puts transmission temperature where you can see it.

Monitors for the 2020-2022 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

Edge sells the Insight CTS3 84130-3 as a digital gauge monitor for domestic gas and diesel vehicles with an OBD-II port. On the 2020-2022 Super Duty, that port carries a lot. The 10R140 10-speed on diesel trucks is run by its own transmission control module rather than the engine computer, and the TCM is what a monitor reads for gear and transmission temperature. The engine side reports boost, DPF regen status, DEF data and exhaust gas temperature where the PCM provides it. The CTS3 reads that data and does not change the calibration, so your Powerstroke keeps Ford's programming with its emissions equipment intact.

What a monitor helps you catch

The monitor has no known trouble spot of its own on these trucks. Its job is early warning. When towing, one 10R140 transmission guide suggests keeping transmission temperature under about 220°F, and a screen in your line of sight makes that easy to track mile after mile. On the aftertreatment side, short trips and interrupted regens lead to DPF load warnings. Seeing a regen in progress lets you keep driving and let it complete, and seeing a DEF countdown early gives you time to sort it out before the truck derates.

Plug-in monitor vs. factory cluster

The factory cluster shows the basics in its own layout. A plug-in monitor lets you pick the readings and see several at once. Because the CTS3 connects at the diagnostic port, the job comes down to plugging it in and finding a good place for the screen. Edge also offers EAS accessory sensors for its monitors when you want a reading the truck does not broadcast.

What we carry

This section carries the Edge Products Insight CTS3 84130-3. It is a universal OBD-II monitor, so it is not tied to one truck. Mounts and Edge EAS add-on sensors have their own sections under Digital Monitors for this truck, so you can put the screen where you want it and add readings later.

Fitment notes

Because the CTS3 connects at the OBD-II port, cab style, bed length and drivetrain do not change how it hooks up on the F-250, F-350 or F-450. Mounts are a different story. The 2020-2022 trucks share their interior with 2017-2019, while the 2023 and newer Super Duty has a different interior, so vehicle-specific mounts do not carry across that line. If you are unsure, verify by VIN or call the shop.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Insight CTS3 tune the truck?

No. The 84130-3 reads data through the OBD-II port and does not alter the calibration. It is a monitor. Your 6.7L keeps its factory programming and its emissions equipment.

Will it show 10R140 transmission temperature?

Diesel 10R140 trucks use a dedicated TCM for transmission control, and that is what monitors read for gear and temperature. Plug-in monitors can display trans temp on these trucks. Check the product details for the full parameter list.

Can I move the CTS3 to my next truck?

Edge sells it for domestic gas and diesel vehicles with an OBD-II port, so it is not locked to the Super Duty. A vehicle-specific mount will not necessarily move with it, especially to a 2023 or newer Super Duty with its different interior.
