Headlight replacement on these trucks usually starts with a problem rather than a wish list. The halogen beam is weaker than you want, the lens has clouded or taken on moisture, or a lamp got broken in a collision. None of that points to a design flaw; there is no documented pattern failure for these headlamps. An upgraded replacement swaps the whole housing, so the repair and the upgrade happen in the same job.
Halogen truck or LED truck?
Ford built these trucks two ways. Halogen headlamps were standard (a dual-beam lamp in 2017, a quad-beam lamp on the 2019 XL), and quad-beam LED headlamps came on Platinum, on the 2019 Limited, and with Lariat and King Ranch option packages. The two setups use different harnesses and lighting control modules, so aftermarket housings are usually sold for one or the other. Order the version for what your truck already has.

The Nova-Series LED projector headlights come in gloss black (880100), chrome (880101) and matte black (880102); the Pro-Series projector headlights come in chrome (880107), jet black (880108) and black (880106). Fitment notes
2017-2019 headlamps are their own fitment group. The 2020 refresh changed the grille and headlamps, so do not cross that line. If the window sticker or trim level leaves you guessing about your lamp type, verify by VIN or call the shop for free fitment help.
Frequently asked questions
My headlight lens is hazy. Is that a reason to upgrade?
It is one of the usual reasons owners replace 2017-2019 Super Duty headlamps, along with dim halogen output and collision damage. If you're replacing the assembly anyway, an upgraded housing such as an AlphaRex Nova-Series LED projector puts new optics in during the same job. Order the variant built for your factory lamp type.
Will a 2020 Super Duty headlight fit my 2019?
No. Ford restyled the grille and headlamps for the 2020 refresh, so 2017-2019 and 2020-2022 lamps are different parts. Stick to listings that cover 2017-2019.
