Call or Text (352) 722-5295High Flow Kits on the 2017-2019 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke
The 6.7L Powerstroke uses aluminum reverse-flow cylinder heads. The intake ports sit on the outboard side of each head and the exhaust ports face the valley, so the turbo and exhaust manifolds live between the cylinder banks. Pickups in these years run a single Garrett GT3788V variable-geometry turbo. It is valley-mounted, non-wastegated, oil-actuated and water-cooled, and its vanes also handle the exhaust brake. Charge air leaves the turbo, runs through the intercooler and its pipes, and enters the engine through the intake manifold. Ford rated the 2017 pickup at 440 hp and 925 lb-ft, and the 2018-2019 pickup at 450 hp and 935 lb-ft. One more detail matters when you change inlet parts: the closed crankcase ventilation separator on the driver-side valve cover vents into the turbo inlet.
Why owners add flow parts
No factory failure makes these parts mandatory. The reason to add them is headroom. The stock GT3788V flows enough for roughly 540 horsepower at the wheels, and on a stock-fuel truck the CP4.2 injection pump and the connecting rods become the limits before airflow does. That changes how you should think about a high-flow kit. Bolted to an otherwise stock engine, intake piping, intercooler pipes and a better-flowing manifold are drivability and exhaust-temperature parts. They are not big horsepower adders on their own.
Stock replacement vs. upgrade
If your factory piping is intact and the truck runs right, nothing here is a required repair. Owners usually add flow parts for one of two reasons. Some tow heavy and want the drivability and exhaust-temperature benefit. Others are planning a larger turbo and want the supporting parts in place. A complete turbo system is a different class of part from piping and manifolds, because it replaces the engine's main airflow component. Talk to us about the rest of your truck before you order one. Check each listing for its emissions status and look for a CARB Executive Order number.
What we carry
This collection is built around SPE Motorsport and Wehrli Custom Fabrication (WCFab). From SPE you will find an intake piping kit listed for 2011-2026 6.7L Powerstroke trucks, the S100397 OE+ Performance Intake Manifold Kit listed for 2011-2025, and the S400 Emperor Turbo System listed for 2011-2019. From WCFab there is the WCF100297 Standard Output High Flow Intercooler Pipe Kit, listed for 2017-2026. For more turbo options, see our turbos page, and for intake parts see intakes. Everything for this engine family is on the Powerstroke page.
Fitment notes
Read the year range in each product title. These kits span different ranges because Ford changed parts at different times. The 2017 trucks got a revised turbo oil supply line and turbo pedestal compared with 2015-2016. The 2020 refresh changed the engine again with forged steel pistons, a new steel crankshaft and higher fuel pressure, so some parts carry across that line and some do not. Chassis cabs are a separate case. The 2017-2019 F-350, F-450 and F-550 chassis cab carries a 330 hp, 750 lb-ft rating and a ball-bearing Garrett GT3582V turbo instead of the pickup's GT3788V, and many of its parts differ from the pickup. Verify by VIN before you order.
Frequently asked questions
Will a high-flow kit add a lot of power to a stock 2017-2019 6.7L Powerstroke?
Not by itself. The factory GT3788V flows for roughly 540 horsepower at the wheels, and the CP4.2 pump and the rods are the next limits on a stock-fuel truck. Expect better drivability and lower exhaust temperatures under load, not a big jump on the dyno.
Do 2015-2016 turbo parts fit my 2017-2019 pickup?
Not always. The 2015-2019 pickups share the GT3788V turbo, but Ford revised the turbo oil supply line and turbo pedestal for 2017. Go by the year range in each title, and call us if you are unsure how a part lines up with your truck.
Will these parts fit my F-450 or F-550 chassis cab?
Do not assume they will. The 2017-2019 chassis cabs use a ball-bearing Garrett GT3582V turbo and a 330 hp, 750 lb-ft rating, and many of their parts differ from the pickups. Check each listing against your VIN, or use the fitment checker on the product page.
Are high-flow parts emissions legal?
It depends on the part. A CARB Executive Order number certifies an aftermarket part as emissions legal in all 50 states, so look for that number on the listing. If you do not see one, call us before you buy.
Can you install a turbo system or intake manifold for me?
Yes. We are a working diesel shop in Wildwood, FL, and we install everything we sell. A turbo system or intake manifold is a bigger job than a pipe kit, so call the shop and we will walk through what it involves on your truck.
Not sure what fits? Call the shop at the number in the header, or use the fitment checker on any product page. We install everything we sell.
