Upgraded replacement headlights on the 2015-2016 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

Ford fitted dual-beam halogen reflector headlamps to every 2011-2016 Super Duty from the F-250 to the F-550. On the 2015-2016 trucks, no failure pattern is documented for them; the common complaint is dim low beams from a design that has aged. A stock-style replacement brings back that same output. An upgraded replacement keeps the factory fit but changes what's inside: a projector lens to focus the beam, and on the LUXX and NOVA lines, an LED light source. The truck's 6.7L Powerstroke has no bearing on fit; this is a body part.

Every option here is an AlphaRex projector headlight. The PRO-Series is a halogen projector in chrome, black or Alpha-Black, for owners who want a focused beam while staying on halogen. The LUXX-Series LED projector comes in Alpha-Black, chrome or black. The NOVA-Series LED projector comes in chrome or gloss black.

Fitment notes

All of these fit 2011-2016 Super Duty trucks, and none fit 2017 and newer, which use a different body and housing. The LED housings install as a plug-in swap for the factory halogen units. Confirm with the fitment checker on the product page or call us with your VIN.

Frequently asked questions

Should I buy an upgraded replacement or a stock-style halogen headlight?

If the factory lamp is intact and you're happy with it, there's no documented reason to replace it on a 2015-2016 truck. If you're replacing one anyway, or the dim low beams bother you, an upgraded projector housing goes in the same opening and gives you a focused beam instead of the factory reflector pattern.

Will an LED projector housing work on my halogen-equipped truck?

Yes. Every 2011-2016 Super Duty left the factory with halogen headlamps, and the AlphaRex LED projector housings are built as a plug-in swap for that setup. If you'd rather not do it yourself, we install what we sell at our shop in Wildwood, FL.

Is the PRO-Series an upgrade if it's still halogen?

It upgrades the optics, not the light source. The PRO-Series puts a projector lens in front of a halogen bulb, so you get a focused beam in a housing that fits the 2011-2016 opening. If you want to move off halogen altogether, look at the LUXX or NOVA LED lines.
