Ford's dual-beam jewel-effect halogen headlamp was standard on these trucks, from the XL up through King Ranch and the Platinum trim that arrived for 2015. It is one housing from the F-250 to the F-550 for 2011-2016, so the projector headlights here are cataloged under that full fitment. Nothing about the 6.7L Powerstroke changes the part; headlights follow the body, not the engine.
No failure pattern is documented for these lamps on 2015-2016 trucks. The usual reason to replace them is that the halogen reflector design is dated and the low beams are dim next to a projector.
Halogen projector or LED projector
A projector headlight puts a lens in front of the light source to focus the beam, and every headlight in this collection is built that way. The choice you're making is the light source. The PRO-Series keeps halogen bulbs and gives you the projector beam. The LUXX-Series and NOVA-Series are LED projector housings. Because the factory system is halogen, the LED units install as a plug-in housing swap.
What we carry
Every headlight here is from AlphaRex, built direct-fit for the 2011-2016 Super Duty:
- PRO-Series halogen projector: Alpha-Black (880140), chrome (880141) or black (880142).
- LUXX-Series LED projector: Alpha-Black (880143), chrome (880145) or black (880146).
- NOVA-Series LED projector: chrome (880148) or gloss black (880149).
Finish is about looks. Chrome housings brighten the front end, while the black, gloss black and Alpha-Black housings give the truck a darker face. Match it to your grille and wheels.
Fitment notes
These fit 2011-2016 F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 trucks only. The 2017 and newer Super Duty uses a different body and housing, and none of these will fit it. Read each listing for what's included, and use the fitment checker on the product page or call with your VIN if you want a second set of eyes on it.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a different headlight for an F-450 than for an F-250?
No. For 2011-2016, AlphaRex lists the same housing for the F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550, so a dually and a single-rear-wheel truck take the same part.
How do I choose between LUXX and NOVA?
Both are LED projector housings that fit the same 2011-2016 trucks. The finishes differ: LUXX comes in Alpha-Black, chrome or black, and NOVA comes in chrome or gloss black. Compare the product photos and listings to see what each line includes, then pick the face you want on the truck.
Will these fit a 2017 F-250?
No. 2017 was the first all-new Super Duty since 1999, with a different body and a different headlight housing. Everything on this page is for 2011-2016 trucks.
Can you install them?
