Call or Text (352) 722-5295Rear differential covers on the 2015-2016 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke
On the Sterling 10.5 behind the 6.7L Powerstroke, Ford's fluid is 75W-140 synthetic at 3.3 to 3.6 quarts, and Diesel Hub lists the cover gasket as Dana RD52002. The service interval is 100,000 miles normal or 50,000 severe. Seepage at the cover is the usual sign the seal is done, and gear noise follows if the axle runs low. Ford offered a limited-slip or an electronic-locking rear differential, the locker using a mechanical dog clutch.

Reseal or replace
If the factory cover is in good shape and only the seal is leaking, a MAHLE gasket and fresh 75W-140 put it back to stock. If you want a heavier cover, match it to your axle first, then compare the product pages for material and what is included. Either way, refill to Ford's capacity with the grade Ford calls for.
Fitment notes
Sterling covers are for the F-250 and F-350 SRW; the Dana 80 cover is for the F-350 dually. The F-450 pickup's Dana S110 is a different axle, and it changed for 2015, so call us before ordering for one. Match the MAHLE gasket to your axle on its product page, and verify by VIN.
Frequently asked questions
Which rear cover fits my truck?
F-250 and F-350 single-rear-wheel pickups use the Sterling 10.5, so look at the PPE, Mag-Hytec F12, SPE Motorsport and BD Diesel Sterling covers. F-350 dually trucks use a Dana 80, which is what the Mag-Hytec 80 cover is built for.
What fluid goes back in the Sterling 10.5, and how much?
Ford calls for 75W-140 synthetic, 3.3 to 3.6 quarts. The interval is 100,000 miles in normal use and 50,000 in severe use, so a cover swap is a good time to catch up if you are due.
