On this page, upgraded replacement means two things: the housing is new, and the optics are different from stock. The factory lamp on an F-250 or F-350 Super Duty of these years is plain halogen with no ballast or driver behind it. An upgraded assembly fits the same opening but uses projector optics, and the LED versions add LED lighting. If you want the truck to look exactly as it did from Ford, an OEM-style halogen assembly is the better match. Parts for the rest of the truck are on the Powerstroke hub.

Before you install
Read the listing for bulb type and wiring, because some aftermarket housings use H1 or H7 bulbs or need an added harness or module. The grille has to come off to reach the mounting bolts, and the job runs about 1.5 hours. Aim the lamps once they are in, and treat that as mandatory on a leveled or lifted truck. These are 2011-2016 body parts, and lamps for 2008-2010 or 2017-up trucks are not the same.
Frequently asked questions
Is an LED projector headlight plug-and-play on a 2011-2014 F-250?
The housing drops in, but plug-and-play depends on the assembly. Some need an adapter harness or module, and some use different bulbs than the factory H13. The product page lists what each unit requires, and the shop can check it against your truck by phone.
Why replace the whole assembly instead of just the bulbs?
Because on these trucks the lens and housing are what wear out. UV yellowing cuts output even with new bulbs, a failed seal lets moisture corrode the reflector and connector, and a broken mounting tab makes aiming impossible. A bulb fixes none of that.
