2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke Headlights

Headlight assemblies for the 2011-2014 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty with the 6.7L Powerstroke. Ford's lamp for these years is a halogen unit with one H13 bulb, and once the lens yellows or the seal starts leaking, a fresh bulb will not bring the light back. The projector and LED projector assemblies on this page bolt in where the worn factory housings came out.

Headlights on the 2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

For the 2011-2016 model years, every Super Duty trim used the same basic headlamp: a composite housing, a dual-filament H13 (9008) halogen bulb that handles low and high beam, and a bezel finished in black or chrome depending on trim. Ford never offered HID or LED headlamps on these trucks. That keeps your choice simple. You are either putting back the stock look or moving to a projector or LED projector housing, and this page covers the second option. For everything else on the truck, head to the Powerstroke page.

Signs it is time for new headlights

  • Yellow, weak beam: sunlight has clouded the polycarbonate lens, and output stays low even with new bulbs.
  • Fog or water behind the lens: the lens-to-housing seal has failed. Corrosion follows at the bulb socket and reflector, and bulbs start failing more often.
  • A lamp that shakes or points off: a plastic mounting tab has snapped. The lamp cannot hold its aim until the housing is replaced.

What we carry

Every assembly here is from AlphaRex. Start with the series. Pro-Series is the projector line, offered in chrome (880141), black (880142) and Alpha-Black (880140). Luxx-Series and Nova-Series use LED projectors. Luxx comes in Alpha-Black (880143), chrome (880145) and black (880146), and Nova comes in chrome (880148) and gloss black (880149). Then match the finish to your grille and trim.

Fitment notes

These are drop-in housings, but some aftermarket units use H1 or H7 bulbs instead of the factory H13, and some need a harness or module. Check the listing before you start. To reach the four mounting bolts you have to remove the grille, so budget about 1.5 hours. A leveled or lifted truck needs its headlamps re-aimed after the swap. Lamps built for 2008-2010 or 2017-and-newer Super Dutys will not fit these trucks.

Frequently asked questions

Which AlphaRex series is right for my Super Duty?

Choose by light source first. Pro-Series is a projector headlight, while Luxx-Series and Nova-Series are LED projector headlights. Inside each series the finish is the main difference, so pick chrome to keep a bright front end or black for a darker one.

Can I reuse my factory H13 bulbs in an aftermarket housing?

Not always. Some aftermarket projector and LED assemblies use H1 or H7 bulbs, and some need an extra harness or module. The product details list what each assembly requires, and the shop can confirm it by phone before you order.

My truck came with chrome bezels. Do I have to buy chrome headlights?

No. Ford's trims differ only in bezel finish, black on some trucks and chrome on others. The finish you choose is a style call. Chrome keeps the factory-bright look, and black or Alpha-Black darkens the front end.
