2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke Exterior Parts

This page covers exterior parts for the 2011-2014 Ford F-250, F-350 and F-450 Super Duty with the 6.7L Powerstroke: body and cab mounts, a roll pan, sled stops and license plate brackets. The one thing to know is that the factory rubber body mounts on 2008-2016 Super Dutys crumble with age, and clunks or creaks over bumps are the symptom.

Exterior parts for the 2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

The 2011-2014 trucks are the first years of the third-generation Super Duty and the first with Ford's own 6.7L Powerstroke, but the sheet metal underneath is older than it looks. Cabs, doors and beds are dimensionally the same from 1999 through 2016; the 2011-2016 beds have their own wheel-arch body lines and a square fuel-filler door. Cab and body mounts carry over from 2008-2016. That is why so many parts on this page are listed for 2008-2016 6.4L and 6.7L trucks: the mounting points they bolt to carried over when the engine changed.

What fails and why

The body mounts are the real wear item. On 2008-2016 Super Dutys the factory rubber crumbles and the stamped-steel housings rust. Once that happens the cab shifts on the frame, and you hear it as clunks and creaks over bumps. It is an age problem more than a mileage problem, and it is common on trucks ten years old or more, which now includes every 2011-2014. The other common exterior breakage is the headlight: the four plastic mounting tabs on each lamp go brittle and snap, and the lamp vibrates and will not hold its aim.

Stock replacement vs. upgrade

You can put factory-style rubber back in, but it is the same material that failed. The aftermarket offers polyurethane, silicone and billet-with-silicone body mount kits for 2008-2016 Super Dutys, built to replace the crumbled rubber. Whatever you choose, the kit has to match the cab: regular cab and SuperCab trucks use one kit, crew cabs use another, because the number of mount positions differs. For the rest of this page, the choice is about function. A roll pan and sled stops change the rear of the truck; the license plate brackets move or flip the plate.

What we carry

For body mounts: S&B silicone body mount kits, 81-1002 for regular cab and extended cab trucks and 81-1003 for crew cabs; the Daystar Products KF04060BK body mount kit; No Limit Fabrication 0816BM body mounts; and SPE Motorsport S300100 cab mounts. All of these mounts are listed for 2008-2016 6.4L and 6.7L trucks. For the rest of the exterior: Big Hitch Products makes the BHP7001 urethane roll pan, BHP3000 and BHP3001 clamp-on sled stops for below or behind the roll pan, and the BHP4001 flip-up and BHP4009 license plate brackets. Mishimoto adds the MMLP-F2D-11 license plate relocation bracket for 2011-2016 6.7L trucks.

Fitment notes

Body mount kits are cab-specific, so know your cab before you order: Regular Cab, SuperCab or Crew Cab. On these trucks, Lariat came in SuperCab and Crew Cab only, and King Ranch and Platinum came as Crew Cab only, which helps if you are unsure. The mount kits cover 2008-2016, so a 2011-2014 is inside every range listed here. The Mishimoto bracket is listed for 2011-2016 6.7L trucks. For parts listed without a year range, such as the BHP license plate brackets and sled stops, call to confirm fitment on your truck. When in doubt, verify by VIN.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my 2011-2014 F-250 clunk over bumps?

One common cause on 2008-2016 Super Dutys is worn cab mounts. The factory rubber crumbles and the stamped-steel housings rust, which lets the cab move on the frame. A cab-specific replacement kit addresses that cause, and we install what we sell at our Wildwood, FL shop.

Do I need a different body mount kit for a crew cab?

Yes. Kits are cab-specific because crew cabs have a different number of mount positions than regular cabs and SuperCabs. S&B, for example, sells 81-1002 for regular and extended cabs and 81-1003 for crew cabs.

Will 2008-2010 body parts fit my 2013 F-350?

Cab and mount parts often do. Cabs, doors and beds are dimensionally the same 1999-2016, and cab mounts are shared 2008-2016. Watch the bed and the front end: 2011-2016 beds have their own wheel-arch body lines and a square fuel door, and 2011 brought a new front end. Check the listed years on each product.

Which sled stop do I need?

Big Hitch Products makes clamp-on sled stops in a below-roll-pan version, BHP3000, and a behind-roll-pan version, BHP3001. Pick by where you want the stop to sit, and call us before you order if your truck still has its factory rear bumper.
