2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke Cold Air Intakes

Cold air intakes and open-element intakes for the 2011-2014 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty with the 6.7L Powerstroke, from S&B, Banks Power, No Limit Fabrication and SPE Motorsport. Know this first: the 2011-2014 GT32 turbo draws air through two compressor inlets, and some intake tubes and airbox parts split at 2015, so match the year range to your truck.

Cold air intakes for the 2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

Stock, this truck breathes through a fender-fed airbox with a Motorcraft FA-1909 pre-filter and FA-1902 element. From there, air goes to the valley-mounted Garrett GT32 SST, which pulls through a conventional inlet and an upper inlet. An aftermarket intake replaces the factory box and tube with a less restrictive path. The best-documented example is the S&B 75-5104 for 2011-2016 F-250 and F-350 trucks: 31.70% less restriction than stock, 99.26-99.66% filtration, an enclosed box, and a MAF plate and gasket so the truck does not set a check-engine light. The box fully encloses the filter and keeps the factory MAF sensor.

Fix leaks before you add airflow

An intake is an airflow upgrade, not a fix for a power problem. If your truck lost power suddenly, hisses under load or went into limp mode with an underboost code, look at the plastic factory cold-side intercooler pipe first; it cracks and blows apart under boost and heat cycling. Boots, couplers and the intercooler seal leak too, costing power with no code, and oily residue at a joint marks the spot. Seal the charge path first, then add the intake.

Enclosed box or open element

Intakes for this truck come in two basic styles. An enclosed design like the S&B 75-5104 boxes the filter in and keeps the factory MAF sensor. An open design like the S&B 75-6000 open air intake leaves the element exposed. Either way the factory airbox comes out, so from then on you buy that intake's own replacement elements rather than the Motorcraft FA-1902. Banks Power's Ram-Air 42215 is listed for 2011-2016 Super Duty 6.7L trucks, No Limit offers its cold air intake as a Stage 1 or Stage 2, and SPE Motorsport's air intake system is listed for 2011-2019.

What we carry

From S&B, you can pick the 75-5104 cold air intake or the 75-6000 open air intake. No Limit Fabrication has the 67CAI1 Stage 1 and 67CAI Stage 2 cold air intakes, Banks Power has the 42215 Ram-Air cold air intake, and SPE Motorsport has its air intake system. You will also find the PPE 315672020 MAP sensor relocation spacer here, listed for 2011-2019 6.7L trucks. Replacement elements for these intakes are in the Filters section for this truck. Fitment and compliance notes

Most intakes here are listed for 2011-2016, which covers this range. Some intake tubes and airbox parts split at 2015 because the 2011-2014 GT32 has twin inlets, so if your truck has had a later-style turbo installed, tell us before ordering. S&B's CARB EO D-590-13 for the 75-5104 covers the F-250 and F-350 only; the F-450 and F-550 have no EO for that intake. If your state requires an EO for intake changes, check each product page for its own compliance listing. F-350, F-450 and F-550 chassis cabs use a different turbo, so confirm chassis cab fitment. Verify by VIN when in doubt.

Frequently asked questions

Will a cold air intake set a check-engine light on my 6.7L Powerstroke?

The S&B 75-5104 is built not to. It includes a MAF plate and gasket so the truck does not set a check-engine light. With any intake, install it per the instructions and use the MAF hardware it comes with.

Which intake is CARB legal for a 2011-2014 F-250 or F-350?

The S&B 75-5104 cold air intake carries CARB EO D-590-13 for 2011-2016 F-250 and F-350 trucks. That EO does not extend to the F-450 or F-550. For other intakes, check the compliance listing on each product page.

Will an intake fix the low power on my truck?

Probably not if the drop was sudden. On this truck, sudden power loss with a hiss or an underboost code points first to the plastic cold-side intercooler pipe, and steady low power with no code can mean a boost leak at a boot or coupler. Fix those first; an intake adds airflow, it does not seal leaks.
