Call or Text (352) 722-5295Leveling kits on the 2008-2010 Ford 6.4L Powerstroke
The front of a 4x4 F-250 or F-350 from these years is a coil-spring Dana 60 monobeam, located by radius arms and a track bar. Leveling raises that front end, either with a spacer on top of the factory coil or with a kit that changes the spring and shock package. Ford fitted coils with rate codes from roughly 4,000 to 6,000 lb, so a crew cab King Ranch and a regular cab XL may not carry the same spring. Because the axle hangs on radius arms, raising the front changes the angle those arms sit at, and that is why caster comes up so often when owners level these trucks. Most kits here list fitment from 2005 through 2016 or later, covering the 6.0L, 6.4L and 6.7L Powerstroke trucks.
Picking a height
A 2.5-inch front level is the common setup on 2008-2010 trucks, and the Daystar 2.5-inch Comfort Ride front kit is built for exactly that. If you want a smaller change, the Daystar 1-inch Comfort Ride kit and the BDS 2-inch coil spacer give you less height. Bilstein's B8 5112 and B8 5162 high-performance leveling kits come at it from the shock side, so check each listing for what is in the box and the height it is built for. The well-worn upgrade path on these trucks pairs the level with matched shocks and a high-mount steering stabilizer.
What we carry
Daystar Comfort Ride leveling kits in 1-inch and 2.5-inch front heights for 4WD trucks. BDS Suspension 2-inch leveling coil spacers for 2005-2016 4WD Super Dutys. Bilstein B8 5112 and B8 5162 series high-performance leveling kits. And the SPE Motorsport fixed caster kit, which handles the caster side of the job.
Fitment notes
The leveling kits here are listed for 4WD trucks. Many F-250 and F-350 kits do not fit the wide-track front end on F-450 and F-550 trucks, and the 6.4L F-450 pickup came only as a dually crew cab with an 8-foot box, so confirm fitment before you buy for one. Check whether a kit is front-only or includes rear parts. Verify by VIN or use the fitment checker on the product page.
Frequently asked questions
How much do most owners level a 2008-2010 F-250 or F-350?
Two and a half inches up front is the common setup on these years. It brings the nose up without moving into lift-kit territory. Smaller kits, like the Daystar 1-inch and the BDS 2-inch spacer, are here if you want a milder change.
My truck started wobbling after I leveled it. What fixes it?
Caster correction and a track bar or steering stabilizer, not a different spacer. Raising the front on a radius-arm axle changes caster, and these trucks have a reputation for death wobble when caster is short or track-bar and steering parts are worn. The SPE Motorsport fixed caster kit handles the caster side; check the track-bar bushings while you're at it.
Do I need new shocks with a leveling kit?
The well-worn path on these trucks pairs a level with matched shocks. A stock front shock was sized for stock height, so after a level it works in a different part of its travel. If your shocks are already tired, replace them at the same time and pick one built for the leveled height.
