The Fleece FPE-SF-CUMM-1121 SureFlo is a performance fuel sending unit for 2011-2024 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks with the 6.7L Cummins. It fits the stock sending unit location and feeds an external lift pump from a bucket at the base of the unit, so you skip the draw straw, the tank drilling and the ¼ tank problems that come with them.

Fitment

Fleece lists this unit for 2011-2024 Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 pickups with the 6.7L Cummins. Fleece's in-tank lift pump modules for these trucks are split 2005-2009, 2010 and 2011+, and this sending unit is listed for 2011-2024, so do not assume it fits a 2007.5-2010 truck. Verify fitment by VIN. Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 chassis cabs share the engine but use different frames, filters and exhaust routing, so verify chassis-cab fitment separately.

Important: SureFlo Sending Units DO NOT contain a pump and are only intended for vehicles utilizing an external lift pump or for vehicles not originally equipped with a lift pump. If your application requires a pump, look at the Fleece PowerFlo Lift Pump in our lift pumps collection.

Why this part

From the factory, 2010-2018 Ram pickups use an in-tank electric lift pump. When you upgrade fuel supply, you can go one of two ways. A drop-in PowerFlo in-tank pump replaces the factory module without external pumps or lines. SureFlo is for the other route: an aftermarket lift pump mounted outside the tank, with a proper pickup in the tank.

The problem: If you are running an aftermarket pump mounted external of the fuel tank, you will need to install a draw straw or drill your fuel tank to accommodate a sump. Each of these has some significant drawbacks, including the ¼ tank issues that result in cavitation of the pump when you draw air into the fuel system.

The solution: SureFlo performance sending units are designed to work with aftermarket lift pumps and fit directly into your stock sending unit location. Factory-style quick disconnects adapt your stock fuel lines at the tank, so the install is clean and requires no cutting or drilling of the tank. SureFlo works by drawing fuel from, and returning fuel to, the bucket assembly at the base of the unit. That keeps your pump drawing fuel instead of air and eliminates the ¼ tank problem. The bucket also incorporates one way check valves that let fuel flow in easily at lower levels.

If you plan on larger injectors, a lift pump upgrade is expected alongside them, and SureFlo gives an external pump a clean pickup inside the stock tank.

SureFlo is also an option for trucks originally equipped without an in-tank pump that need to repair a malfunctioning level sender, or if you simply want to run your own custom fuel lines directly to the tank.

What you get

  • OEM style fitment that requires no tank cutting or drilling
  • New fuel level electronics and fuel float
  • Heavy duty billet aluminum cap
  • Universal -8 AN ports for professionally plumbing a custom fuel setup
  • New O-ring or flange seal

The unit also carries factory-style quick disconnects for your stock fuel lines and the bucket assembly with one way check valves at its base.

Installation notes

SureFlo installs in the stock sending unit location with no tank cutting or drilling. Your stock fuel lines connect at the tank through the factory-style quick disconnects, and the universal -8 AN ports are there for professionally plumbing a custom fuel setup, so plan your line routing to your external pump before the install. Frequently asked questions

Does the SureFlo have a pump in it?

No. SureFlo Sending Units do not contain a pump. They are for trucks using an external lift pump, or trucks not originally equipped with a lift pump. If you want the pump in the tank, look at the PowerFlo in-tank lift pump instead.

Do I have to cut or drill my tank?

No. It is an OEM style fitment that requires no tank cutting or drilling. It goes in the stock sending unit location and uses factory-style quick disconnects for your stock fuel lines.

Does it replace my fuel level sender?

Yes. It comes with new fuel level electronics and a new fuel float, plus a new O-ring or flange seal. That is why it also works as a repair for a malfunctioning level sender on trucks built without an in-tank pump.
