The SPE Motorsport S100163 Coolant Hose Reroute Kit replaces the factory heater coolant inlet tube and degas return hoses on 2011-2026 Ford Super Duty trucks with the 6.7L Powerstroke. Owners buy it after an intake piping kit or turbo upgrade, when the factory coolant hoses end up running right over the top of the new parts.

Fitment

This kit fits 2011-2026 Ford F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 Super Duty trucks with the 6.7L Powerstroke. That covers the Gen1 (2011-2016) and Gen2 (2017-current) engines, pickups and cab and chassis trucks alike. SPE lists compatibility as:

  • 2011-2026 Ford F250 (including cab & chassis)
  • 2011-2026 Ford F350 (including cab & chassis)
  • 2011-2026 Ford F450 (including cab & chassis)
  • 2011-2026 Ford F550 (including cab & chassis)

If you're not sure what you have, verify your truck by VIN or call us before you order.

Why this part

The factory heater coolant inlet tube and degas return hoses on the 6.7L were not routed with aftermarket parts in mind. On a stock engine you hardly notice them. Once you spend real money on intake piping, a turbo upgrade or similar work, those hoses run right over the top of the new parts and take away from how the engine bay looks.

SPE looked at the upgrades their customers commonly make and designed this kit around them. The hoses follow the curvature of the engine instead of crossing over your new parts. It is a plug and play system: you don't cut or adapt any factory lines or fittings, and SPE says no other kit on the market offers that. The long continuous silicone lines need no T-fittings or barbs, so there are fewer places for a leak to start.

The hose is 5-ply polyester reinforced silicone that stands up to high temperatures and high pressures, and it is built to outlast brittle factory rubber hoses. The heater inlet fitting is anodized billet aluminum, and the hose ends are factory-style quick connects, which keeps the install simple and clean.

While the cooling system is open, look over the rest of it. The plastic degas tanks on 2011-2019 trucks get brittle with heat cycles and can crack or weep at the seams, and this engine has two of them.

  • Simple & clean installation
  • Aesthetically pleasing way to clean up the engine bay such as after installing aftermarket intake piping kits, turbo kits, etc.

About SPE Motorsport

SPE Motorsport is short for Snyder Performance Engineering, a Pennsylvania company that started in 2011 and works out of Latrobe, east of Pittsburgh. They build for Ford diesels, and their line centers on the 2011-2026 6.7L Powerstroke. Their cooling parts include upgraded coolant caps, water pump block-offs and 6R140 transmission line kits alongside this hose kit.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to cut or splice any factory coolant lines?

No. The kit is plug and play. It uses a billet aluminum heater inlet adapter and factory-style 90° quick connect hose ends, so nothing gets cut or adapted to fit.

Will it fit my cab and chassis truck?

Yes, if it's a 2011-2026 F-250, F-350, F-450 or F-550 with the 6.7L Powerstroke. SPE lists cab and chassis models for all four. Send us your VIN if you want us to confirm it.

What should I watch for when I refill coolant after the install?

The 6.7L runs two separate cooling loops, each with its own degas bottle. Fill and check the system you opened, don't fill or pressure-test the wrong one, and look at both bottles before you call the job done.
