The S&B 83-2011 is a hot and cold side boot kit for 1999.5-2003 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks with the 7.3L Powerstroke. It replaces ripped and torn factory boots. Because some 7.3L trucks need 3"x3" couplers and others need 3"x3.25", S&B packs two of each, plus twelve T-bolt clamps and two hose clamps.
Fitment
Fits 1999.5-2003 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks with the 7.3L Powerstroke. Some 7.3 applications have two 3"x3.25" couplers while others need two 3"x3" couplers. This kit comes with two of each size so you have the correct boots for your truck either way.
This kit is for the 7.3L only. Ford built 2003 trucks with either the 7.3L or the 6.0L, so confirm your engine and verify fitment by VIN. For a 2003-2007 6.0L, S&B lists the 83-2008 hot side turbo outlet boot.
Why this part
These boots replace the intake boot that is prone to failure, along with ripped and torn boots on the hot and cold side. S&B builds these intake plenum and intercooler boots from aramid-reinforced, durable silicone rubber for longevity. They are backed by an S&B warranty, so you should not need to buy another boot kit.
The size question is the real reason to buy this kit. Given that some trucks have a 3" intercooler outlet and others have a 3.25" outlet, a one-size set can leave you midway through the installation with the incorrect boots. This kit includes both sizes, so you match what comes off your truck and keep going.
New hardware is in the box too. The kit includes a complete set of twelve T-bolt clamps and two stainless steel hose clamps, so you don't have to reuse the old OEM clamps.

Installation notes
Check whether your truck has a 3" or 3.25" intercooler outlet before you start, or match the old boot once it is off. Use the pair of couplers that fits your truck; the other pair will be left over. Put the new T-bolt clamps and stainless steel hose clamps on rather than reusing the old OEM clamps.
