The S&B 83-2008 is a hot side turbo outlet boot for 2003-2007 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks with the 6.0L Powerstroke. It replaces a ripped or torn factory boot with one S&B builds in house from 4-ply aramid-reinforced silicone. New spring-loaded T-bolt clamps come with it, so you are not putting worn factory clamps back on.
Fitment
Fits 2003-2007 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks with the 6.0L Powerstroke. It is a direct-fit replacement for the factory hot side turbo outlet boot.
This boot is listed for the 6.0L only, not the 7.3L. Ford built 2003 trucks with either engine, so confirm which one is under your hood and verify fitment by VIN. If you have a 1999.5-2003 7.3L, S&B's hot and cold side boot kit for that engine is 83-2011.

The hot side boot sits right at the turbo outlet, and once it rips or tears it has to be replaced. S&B makes this one in house from silicone rubber with 4 plies of aramid reinforcement, built to last the lifetime of your vehicle. It is backed by a Limited Lifetime manufacturer warranty, so you should not have to buy another boot for this spot again.
There is no reason to put worn factory clamps on a new boot. S&B includes new spring-loaded T-bolt clamps with this boot so you don't have to recycle your worn-out factory units.
Because it is a direct-fit replacement, the boot goes in the factory location. While it is off, take a look at the rest of the intercooler boots and clamps on the truck. If one boot has torn, the others have seen the same miles and the same heat.
