The S&B 76-1012 Intake Elbow replaces the factory intake elbow and grid heater on 2019-2024 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups with the 6.7L Cummins. It is a complete kit, with a billet grid heater delete plate and a coil-style intake air heater, built to take the factory grid heater hardware out of the air path and improve flow.
Fitment
Built for 2019-2024 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups with the 6.7L Cummins. Note: Fits all Standard and High Output 6.7 Cummins Pickups. Does not fit Ram Chassis Cab models. It also does not carry over to 2025 and later trucks: the 2025 refresh changed the engine, adding glow plugs and a new intake manifold, and S&B lists its intake elbow for 2019-2024 only. Why this part
The factory intake elbow on the 6.7L Cummins houses a grid heater held by a stud or bolt that can loosen and drop into the intake manifold. The pattern is strongest on 2007.5-2018 engines and very rare on 2019 and later trucks, but shops still inspect for it, because the damage when it happens is serious. Warning signs are P2609 or P0542 heater codes and a loose terminal plate, and if the hardware drops, the result can be catastrophic damage to the #6 cylinder.
S&B's kit removes that risk instead of managing it. The S&B Billet Grid Heater Delete Plate takes the failure-prone factory grid heater out, and a Coil Style Intake Air Heater replaces it, so the truck still has a heater for cold starts. The S&B elbow then replaces the factory elbow. S&B calls it the best-flowing intake elbow on the market, built to increase performance while protecting your truck. If you already have the intake apart for other work, or you just want the grid heater question settled for good, this is the kit S&B built for it.

The S&B elbow is larger than the factory piece, which is why the kit includes a new cylinder #1 fuel line to accommodate it. The new OEM gaskets mean you are not reusing old seals when the intake goes back together.
