Built for 2019-2024 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups with the 6.7L Cummins (shop Cummins parts). Verify fitment by VIN. The 2025 refresh changed the engine, with glow plugs and a new intake manifold, so 2019-2024 intake parts like this one should not be assumed to fit 2025 and later trucks. Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 chassis cabs share the engine family but run a separate calibration; this listing is for pickups, so call us before ordering for a chassis cab. Why this part

S&B engineered this intake for the Ram 2500/3500 6.7L to minimize air restriction and flow better than stock. The kit comes with a fully enclosed airbox that protects the filter from dirt and keeps out engine heat. The huge air filter and tube also give the truck a more aggressive sound than stock, inside and outside the cab.

Sealing is where an intake earns its keep. On this engine, a dusted compressor wheel, with fins chipped by unfiltered air or a poorly sealed aftermarket filter, is a common reason a used turbo ends up as scrap. S&B addresses sealing in three places. First, the air filter, coupler, lid seal and box plug are all made with silicone, which seals better and lasts longer, handles temperatures as high as 400F without cracking or tearing, and won't deteriorate over time. Second, the injection-molded MAF (Mass Air Flow) plate and IAT (Intake Air Temperature) ensure a true o-ring seal to the sensor. Third, at the front: the factory scoop attaches to the airbox with plastic snap-in features, which can result in airflow loss. The S&B scoop seal has a rubberized fitment that compresses into the stock scoop, so less airflow is lost and the fit seals better than stock.

S&B also puts a lot of resources into making its intakes let the engine run properly with the stock calibration or enhanced tuning. This kit was designed to avoid check engine lights.

Will this intake set a check engine light?

S&B designed the kit to avoid check engine lights, with an injection-molded MAF plate and IAT that hold a true o-ring seal to the sensor. If a 2019-2024 truck does throw a P0299 underboost code, know that Ram's TSB 09-003-26 covers that code with a PCM update and a specified Mopar air filter, so call the shop and we will help you run it down.

Does it work with the factory ram-air scoop?

Yes. The S&B scoop seal has a rubberized fitment that compresses into the stock scoop, and it seals better than the factory snap-in attachment.
