It takes the place of the factory plastic turbo resonator box on those trucks. Why this part
On the LML, the factory turbo resonator is a bulky plastic box that takes up room in the engine bay. PPE's billet plug eliminates that box and leaves a cleaner, simpler look under the hood. This is an appearance and tidiness part: one machined piece where a plastic box used to be.
PPE machines the plug on a CNC from billet aluminum stock and offers it in three finishes, so you can match it to the rest of your engine bay: raw aluminum, anodized black or gold. If you're already working through other turbo parts on your Duramax, this is a small, simple job to add while you're in there.

Is installation hardware included?

Will it fit my 2017 or newer Duramax?
This listing is for 2011-2016 LML trucks only. The 2017-and-newer HD diesel trucks use the L5P engine, so call us with your VIN before you order anything for a different year.
