PPE Hot & Cold Side Intercooler Pipe Kit (2010-2012 Cummins)

Fitment

This kit is built for 2010-2012 Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 pickups with the 6.7L Cummins. Our engine tag for it covers the 6.7L from 2007.5-2012, but PPE lists the kit for 2010-2012 only, so 2007.5-2009 trucks are not covered. Verify fitment by VIN.

It does not fit 2013-2018 trucks. On the 6.7L, intakes, boost tubes and intake elbows split between 2010-2012 and 2013-2018, so a later truck needs a different kit. Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 chassis cabs need their own versions of these parts as well, so call us before ordering for a chassis cab.

Why this part

From the factory, the 2010-2012 6.7L runs a 2.75-inch hot pipe and a 3-inch plastic cold pipe. Charge air leaves the turbo through the hot side, runs through the air-to-air intercooler, and comes back to the intake elbow through the cold side. PPE calls the stock pipes restrictive. This kit replaces them with a 3-inch hot pipe and a 3.5-inch cold pipe. Less restriction means more flow, and PPE says you'll notice improved throttle response right after the install.

Durability is the other half. Every tube in the kit is full 304 stainless steel, so the plastic cold pipe is gone for good. PPE pairs the tubes with its own 5-ply silicone couplers and 304 stainless steel constant-tension spring clamps, and both come in the box. Whether your truck tows, hauls or just gets you to work, it's a straightforward upgrade to the charge-air side.

While the cold-side pipe is off at the intake elbow, it's a good time to look at the grid heater. On these engines the heater sits in the intake elbow at the manifold inlet, and its fastener is known to drop into the intake manifold and cylinder 6. The warning signs are a knock and P2609 or P0542 codes, typically past 40,000 miles.

Installation notes

This is an easy, bolt-on kit, and no modifications are required. The new pipes go in where the factory 2.75-inch hot pipe and 3-inch plastic cold pipe come out, using the included 5-ply silicone couplers and constant-tension spring clamps.

Will this kit fit my 2015 Ram 2500?

No. On the 6.7L Cummins, boost tubes split between 2010-2012 and 2013-2018 trucks, and this kit is the 2010-2012 version.

Do I have to cut or modify anything?

Are the couplers and clamps included?
