The PPE intercooler utilizes an all-aluminum, bar-and-plate cooler core with durable cast-aluminum, TIG-welded end tanks. Unlike the factory crimped plastic end tanks, this design offers significantly improved heat resistance and handles turbo boost effortlessly. The PPE intercooler features a 2.4 times larger (140% increase) cooler core and highly efficient cooling fins in both air and coolant passages. The increased core size, combined with fluid-dynamically optimized end tanks, reduces air pressure drop by 77%, resulting in easier and smoother engine breathing and less turbo stress.

Our real-world testing showed that the intake air temperatures (IAT) followed the ambient air temperature very closely under various driving conditions. The IAT was reduced by as much as 30 degrees when compared to the factory-installed cooler in our back-to-back testing.
