PPE's 314000767 MicroPure XR engine oil filter fits 2011-2025 Ford 6.7L Power Stroke trucks. It packs 552 square inches of synthetic microfiber media rated 5-micron nominal, plus a built-in magnet for ferrous particles. Owners switch to it for finer filtration and a stronger build than the factory filter at every oil change.
Fitment
Fits Ford F-250, F-350 and F-450 Super Duty pickups with the 6.7L Power Stroke, model years 2011-2025. That spans the first-generation 6.7L (2011-2016) and the second generation from 2017 on. Our engine tags run to current, but the title stops at 2025, so we list the narrower range: verify fitment by VIN. If you run a chassis cab or are unsure, send us the VIN.
Why this part
The oil filter is your engine's first line of defense against contaminants that degrade oil performance and shorten oil life. Poor filter performance and contaminated oil can lead to premature wear and potential failure of engine internals. The OEM filter falls short here. It offers only 455 square inches of 20-micron filtration and uses a weak leaf spring, which reduces seal quality and lets dirty oil blow past the filter media.
PPE's filter answers each of those points. Its MicroPure XR ultra-fine synthetic microfiber media achieves a 5-micron nominal rating across 552 square inches of filtration area, a 21% increase over the OEM filter. An integrated high-temperature rated neodymium magnet captures ferrous particles before they can clog the media, extending filter and oil life. A heavy-duty coil spring holds a secure seal between the media end cap and the base plate, eliminating dirty oil blow-by and maximizing filtration performance.
The valves are built to seal. Where competitors use an unsealed bypass valve, PPE uses a steel-NBR poppet and a precision coil spring for a proper seal and consistent performance. A heat-resistant silicone anti-drainback valve keeps oil in the filter after the engine is shut off, which protects against dry starts.
The canister is heavy duty too. A high-strength steel base plate with increased thread engagement and large oil passages, plus a durable metal center tube for rigid media support and pressure resistance, hold up in all conditions. A pleat-locking spiral bead of adhesive keeps the media pleats secured and evenly spaced for consistent filtration. TorqSTOP Technology prevents over-tightening and reinforces the rubber gasket, which gives the filter a burst pressure rating of 450PSI.

Frequently asked questions
How does this compare to the factory filter?
The OEM filter has 455 square inches of 20-micron media and a leaf spring. The PPE filter has 552 square inches of 5-micron nominal media, a 21% increase in area, a coil spring for the media seal, a sealed bypass valve and a built-in magnet.
Can I over-tighten it?
TorqSTOP Technology is there to prevent over-tightening and to reinforce the gasket against high oil pressure, and the filter carries a 450PSI burst pressure rating. Install it the way your service information calls for and check for leaks after startup.
My oil level keeps rising. Will a better filter fix that?
No. On a 6.7L that idles a lot or runs short trips, a rising oil level can point to fuel dilution. Active DPF regenerations need sustained speed, above about 35 mph, to finish, and interrupted regens push fuel into the oil. A filter catches particles; it does not remove fuel. Get the truck out on the highway regularly and have the oil checked if the level keeps climbing.
