The PPE 173001000 is a billet aluminum fuel cap in anodized green for 2020-2026 trucks with the 3.0L Duramax. A Viton O-ring seals the filler neck against dust, dirt and moisture, and a magnet in the base lets you stick the cap to the truck while you fuel.
Fitment
Listed for 2020-2026 trucks with the 3.0L Duramax (LM2 and LZ0). If your truck falls outside that model-year range, verify fitment by VIN or call us first. This cap is not listed for the 6.6L Duramax in the Silverado and Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD, so do not order it for an HD truck without checking with us.
Why this part
This cap's job is to keep dust, dirt and moisture out of your filler neck and fuel tank. It is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, and its Viton O-ring gives a secure, airtight fit, so contaminants stay out of the fuel system. The green anodized finish resists corrosion and gives the fill area some color. The other half of the design is the neodymium magnet built into the bottom. Pull the cap at the pump, stick it to a body panel, and it stays put until you are done fueling instead of riding in your hand.
