The Mishimoto MMTS-F2D-96L Low-Temperature Thermostat for your 1996-2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke will improve the reliability of your cooling system. A defective thermostat can result in engine overheating and potential internal damage. Designed as a direct replacement for your aged factory unit, the Mishimoto thermostat provides a lower activation temperature (189 Degrees Fahrenheit) compared to the factory thermostat (195 Degrees Fahrenheit). The lower activation temperature allows coolant to flow through the engine earlier, which reduces and maintains lower engine temperatures. This thermostat is ideal for use in warmer climates or under extreme towing/driving conditions.
