Application Note:All Crew & Extended Cabs applies to Ford Super Duty F-250/350/450 Pickups. This system is not designed for use on Cab & Chassis models.
Installation Tech Tip:
A Particulate Matter (PM) Sensor is mounted into a bung in the tailpipe of the exhaust system. Over time, heat and corrosion can cause the sensor to seize inside the bung, making removal very difficult. In some extreme cases, an attempted removal has resulted in both the sensor and mounting bung breaking off of the tailpipe entirely. Because of complaints like this, the PM Sensor is often replaced by many when installing a new tailpipe or a DPF-Back exhaust system.
