The MBRP M2050S is a universal muffler sized for 5" exhaust and built from T409 stainless steel. Inlet and outlet are both 5", the body is 24" long and it measures 31" overall. It is the muffler to reach for when you run 5" tubing and want stainless that holds up on salted winter roads.
Fitment
Universal parts don't carry a year range, and this one is no different. Fitment comes down to two things: 5" pipe at both ends and enough room under the truck for the muffler. The body is 24" and the M2050S runs 31" from end to end. Before you order, measure your tubing and the straight section where the muffler will mount. If your system is 4", this one is too big; we carry a 4" T409 version for that. When in doubt, verify by VIN or call us.
Why this part
A 5" universal muffler lets you keep 5" pipe all the way through the system, whether you are replacing a tired muffler or laying out a custom 5" setup from tubing. With the muffler matched to the pipe, you don't need a size adapter at either end of it.
The case is T409 stainless steel, the grade behind MBRP's Armor Plus line. Stainless is the pick where road salt or brine goes down, and aluminized steel is meant for dry climates. Is this a direct bolt-on for my truck?
No. It is a universal muffler, so it is not made for one truck. It is sized by its 5" inlet and outlet and its 31" overall length. If you want a system built for your exact truck, look through the MBRP collection or call us.
Why T409 stainless instead of aluminized?
Climate. MBRP builds its Armor Plus line in T409 stainless, and stainless holds up where roads get salt or brine. Aluminized steel suits dry climates. This muffler comes in T409 only.
Can your shop install it?
Yes. We are a working diesel shop in Wildwood, FL, and we install what we sell. Bring the truck in and we will fit the muffler to your 5" system.
