The MBRP Quiet Tone Muffler (M2220A or M2220S) is a 5-inch muffler with a high flow spiral louvered core and over triple the sound cancelling packing of MBRP's regular performance muffler. It fits most 5-inch exhaust systems. You buy it to kill the drone that sets in under load or while towing, and you keep a true 5-inch core.
Fitment
This is a universal 5-inch muffler, not a truck-specific kit, so it has no year or engine fitment of its own. MBRP says it fits most 5" exhaust systems and is a direct replacement for all MBRP 5" performance mufflers. If your Cummins, Duramax or Power Stroke truck already runs an MBRP 5-inch system, the Quiet Tone goes in where the performance muffler sits now. On another brand's 5-inch system, check how your current muffler connects and make sure there is room under the truck for the 8" diameter body. Should I pick M2220A or M2220S?
M2220A is aluminized steel and makes sense where roads stay dry. M2220S is T409 stainless, the better choice if your truck sees road salt or brine. Both use the same 5" core and Quiet Tone packing.
