The MAHLE MS19225 Exhaust Manifold Gasket Set seals the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head on 1998.5-2018 Dodge Ram and Ram trucks with the 5.9L or 6.7L Cummins. You get six OE-style gaskets for the manifold-to-head mating surfaces, so the manifold goes back on with all new seals after a crack, stud or bolt repair.

MAHLE lists the MS19225 as a direct replacement for these Cummins engines:
- 1998.5-2002 5.9L Cummins 24-valve (Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500)
- 2003-2007 5.9L Cummins common-rail
- 2007.5-2012 6.7L Cummins
- 2013-2018 6.7L Cummins (Ram 2500 and 3500)
It is not listed for the 1989-1998 12-valve or for 2019 and newer 6.7L engines; for 2019-2024, MAHLE lists the MS20645 set. The 6.7L chassis cabs share the engine but use different exhaust routing, so verify those separately. Verify fitment by VIN or call us.
Why this part
The factory cast-iron exhaust manifold is a known weak spot on the 24-valve and the 6.7L, and every manifold repair ends with new gaskets at the head.
On 1998.5-2002 24-valves, the manifold cracks from heat cycling across the long inline-six span. Expect a loud ticking or knocking that rises with engine speed, an exhaust smell and soot streaks. Leaks at the manifold-to-head joint and the turbo flange follow a warped manifold, and they need prompt repair before the cracks spread.
On 2007.5-2009 6.7L trucks, the manifold studs can break and the cast manifold can crack. Watch for a tick at cold start that fades when warm, soot streaks at the manifold or turbo flange and lost boost. On 2010-2018 trucks, the cast manifold shrinks through heat cycles, even on stock trucks. That snaps manifold bolts and leaks exhaust at the head, with a cold-start tick, exhaust smell in the cab and soot at the flange.
Whichever problem you are fixing, replace the gaskets when the manifold comes off. If you are moving to a 3-piece slip-joint, one-piece stainless or webbed aftermarket manifold to stop the cracking or shrinkage, confirm with the manifold maker which gaskets it calls for.

My 6.7L ticks on a cold start. Will new gaskets fix it?
Not always. On 2010-2018 trucks, manifold shrinkage snaps the manifold bolts, and on 2007.5-2009 trucks the studs can break and the manifold can crack. Check the bolts, studs and manifold before you only swap gaskets.
