The MAHLE GS34105 Turbocharger Mounting Gasket Set has the O-rings, seals and gaskets you need to reinstall the turbo on a 2019-2024 Ram with the 6.7L Cummins. When the turbo comes off for a replacement or a repair, this set puts it back on with sealing made to the same strict standards as the factory gaskets.

Fitment

Listed for the 6.7L Cummins in 2019-2024 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups and the Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 chassis cabs. The chassis cabs share the engine family but run their own calibration, so chassis-cab owners should confirm the part by VIN. This set is listed through the 2024 model year; verify fitment by VIN on later trucks.

Working on a 2007.5-2018 6.7L instead? That truck takes MAHLE GS33616. More Cummins parts are in the engine hub.

Why this part

The 2019-2024 6.7L runs a single Holset HE300VG variable-geometry turbo. Here is what puts it out of service. Soot and oil coke up the unison ring and vane pivots until the vanes stick. The exhaust brake fades first, then boost goes low or erratic, with black smoke, high EGTs and limp mode, and codes such as P003A, P2262, P226C, P00AF, P0299 and P0234. That commonly shows up between 50,000 and 150,000 miles, and sooner with short trips, idling and extended oil drains. Worn bearings or a failed oil seal, with a whine, blue smoke or oil in the intake, are less common but condemn the cartridge.

When the fix is a direct-replacement HE300VG that keeps the exhaust brake and every factory function and runs on factory tuning, the old turbo comes off and the new one goes on. GS34105 gives you every O-ring, seal and gasket the reinstall calls for, so nothing old goes back on with the new turbo.

Once it is back together, the habits that keep the vanes moving are simple: factory oil change intervals instead of extended ones, a full warm-up before you load the truck, an idle-down after hard pulls, regular exhaust brake use and a clean OEM-spec air filter.

Frequently asked questions

Does this set include the turbo?

No. GS34105 is the sealing set only: the O-rings, seals and gaskets for mounting the turbo. If the turbo itself is done, see our turbos.

Do I need to know whether my truck is High Output or Standard Output?

For the turbo or actuator itself, yes. Check the sales code before you order: ETM is the High Output engine and ETL is Standard Output. This gasket set is listed for the 2019-2024 6.7L.

My truck sets P0299. Is the turbo bad?

Not always. Underboost can come from a boost leak, a clogged or non-OEM air filter, or the actuator. Put a Mopar air filter in before you condemn the turbo. If you are looking at a used turbo, it should show zero axial shaft play and an undamaged compressor wheel.
